Best bi-wire speaker cables - under $1k

While I know that you can spend many thousands on speaker cables, I figure $1000 is not an unreasonable limit.

I am getting a pair of B&W 800 speakers with Krell 600W monoblocks.

Thanks,

David

I think you would get advice tuned more to your liking if you post your question HERE

But, if you want my opinion, you should be fine with 10 or 12 gauge speaker cables and not worry about bi-wiring at all.

Something like what you can find HERE should be fine.

Congrats on the nice speakers and amplifier btw! What preamp and source will you be using?

I agree, don't waste your money on "buy wire" and allocate it to more important things like the amp and speakers.

LOL, your answer is definitely fair and good, but I laughed so hard because the OP has already allocated 20k to the speakers and 30k to amps

I dont think he will get much improvement going from 20k speakers to 20,500$ speakers

Wireworld Eclipse (the copper version). Works well with B&W. Though I've never liked the sound of the B&W speakers (I'm more of a PMC kinda guy), I've had a lot of folks buy the cables for them and it has been universal satisfaction so far. Just budget for more amplification since that is barely enough for those speakers. You may want to look at the Bryston 28bSST monoblocks which from my understanding is THE amplifier to run on the bigger B&W's. Only drawback is the long waiting list on them.

This can't be true - the Krells are 600W/channel - B&W specifically recommended them to me for these speakers. Soundood - do you sell Bryston or Krell amps?

Really? I would have thought they would recommend Classe!

Save your money since "high end" speaker wires are all snake oil.

Even in that price range, the only compelling reason to bi-wire would be if you had very long cable runs.

That's a hundred feet of 10-gauge for around $85. Great stuff, more than enough for the current you're going to run through them.
