Well, it arrived yesterday, what a fiasco. I've generally been impressed with amazon's customer service, but this one put me through the ringer.
When I called on monday, the rep I spoke with couldn't authorize the return because it was over his limit. He took down my information, I told him I wanted to pay the difference for overnight shipping (like $10), and said I would be contacted later that night.
The next day I still hadn't heard anything, so I emailed amazon explaining what had happend, and their reply was as if I had never called and it was all news to them. They put the exchange through, with standard shipping, which was 5 days.
I called them back, and told them what had happened, at noon on tuesday. They were very helpful, and since the person had obviously not put my original return through, they upgraded me to overnight shipping for free, it was due to arrive on wednesday.
Tuesday night I checked my order status, and it never shipped. I sent them an email asking what was up, and got a reply that they had discovered an "error with my order, which they fixed" and it would ship out wednesday. They also gave me a $5 credit for future purchases.
It shipped wednesday, and was delivered thursday, 3 hours after my new iPod Touch
I hooked it up when I got home, and watched a few clips from The Fountain, it looked awesome.
I am now an official HD-DVD supporter
