My guess is 8-10 ft. No conformation yet since no retail versions have shipped.

I assume there will be extensions for those that need them.

I am so flippin' excited for this game. I should buy some drum sticks now so I can practice twirling them with my fingers like Tommy Lee does back in his Crue days.

USB extension cables are pretty darn cheap.

Got to play it yesterday at Best Buy...pretty much have to agree with the other thoughts posted so far. Liked the guitar better than the GH guitars although the fret buttons did take some getting used to. I found the guitar parts to be much easier than a comparable difficulty on GH but I only got to try a couple songs before giving it up to the next person...overall I can't wait.

I'm just wondering at what time I should get in line at the store. My wife went to the Best Buy here in Canada about 2 hours before the store opened for Guitar Hero, and within 1/2 hour there were 300 people in line. And 10 people cut in front of her! Crazy, I know. I'm thinking that RB is going to be in even bigger demand. The store opens at 10:00 am (no midnight stuff here, yet) so maybe 7-8a.m....hopefully no over night stuff. The thing is, once this sells out, there'll be no picking one up until after Christmas, I'm pretty sure. Haven't seen GH3 anywhere since last week.

Preorder at a Gamestop or Ebgames. No waiting in line and they'll hold it for ya for up to 48 hours after release.

Hmm, good point. Don't have Gamestop in Canada...I don't think. but there's an EB Games down the street. Will phone them tomorrow. I NEEEEEED to get this game. HAd about 5 friends over last night....and they LOVED GH3...but it was kind of a bummer having to pass the one guitar around from turn to turn. Four player multi-player is gonna be awesome.

EBgames=Gamestop. Same evil entity.

I noticed in their weekly ad:

30% Bonus Trade in Credit towards reservation or purchase of Rock Band.
Small Print: Full trade value amount must be applied toward reserve purchase of title.

Now, I am assuming that means they will give you 30% more than they usually do on the trade-in. Well-whoop-dee-doo. Does that mean they'll give me $13 instead of $10 on my trade?

Now, are there any deals ($10 off BB or CC or the like) for Rock Band or Uncharted?

Frys electronics usually sells for about 10 bucks less or has some nice pack in. But not everyone has a frys near them(mine is like 40 miles away so I rarely go).

thought some HMX fans would like to know that they just put out a ipod game called, "phase" It's basically amplitude but you can use your own songs and teh game has "sweeps"(done by sweeping your thumb over the click wheel in sync with a line of dots) as well as note pods to hit with the buttons under the clickwheel. It's 4.99 on teh itunes store. I love it and will be playing during my entire lunch break.

I stopped by gamestop this afternoon and grabbed the LAST preorder on Rock Band that they can take.... it definately looks like a preorder is a must for this game.
I placed my pre-order in a local GameStop in Dallas, they said it's coming out the 13th, but I'm pretty sure it's the 20th.

I think some Darkness, Nickleback, and Alice in Chains would be sweet.
That list of DLC is better than the whole GH3 track list, coming from a GH3 owner.
Looks awesome...can't wait.
The final 4 bonus tracks also just got annouced:

Death of Cool - Can't Let Go
Honest Bob and the Factory to Dealer Incentives - I Get By
Timmy & the Lords of the Underworld - Timmy & the Lords of the Underworld

To each their own, man. I liked those guys when they first came out, Leader of Men was a cool jam. Maybe it will be a Nickleback and Creed double pack...

I guess, but any band who needs to rip off their own song seems like a terrible band to me. I admit creed had a couple hits that were at least catchy.

When I said Nickelback, I mostly meant there one song called Animals. That song has great drums and the guitars are very beefy. Didn't mean to piss anyone off. Man in the Box by Alice in Chains would be sweet too.

Sea of Sorrow would be a better AiC choice, IMHO

And sadly I must agree..NickelBack is like...is like..is like Boston in 1979, the ultimate expression of Corporate generic Rock for the modern age.

(granted, I can still listen to Boston)

I'm surprised they chose I FOUGHT THE LAW by The Clash, I mean, its not a very good song...just well known. IMHO again, White Riot would be a better Jam to play by them.

I wonder if they're gonna release a "rocks the 80's" for Rock Band, and sell it with a miniature Moog Keyboard

one surprising announcement tho: War Pigs is a GH2 track, did they sell the licensing of the old tracks along with the GH3 name? I wish they'd use some damned DIO Sabbath tracks, those are more modern, faster nad harder.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I grew up on Sabbath....but I've heard War Pigs and Paranoid enough times to want to stick a fork in my ear every time I hear them :P Nice to see at least Sweet Leaf and N.I.B. mixing it up, tho I can dream about Neon Knights or The Mob Rules, can't I?
Any indication what Metallica songs they'll be, other than "One"?
