here's a question, and sorry if it's been asked already

on November 20th, we will be able to buy the bundle (1 guitar, drums, mic, game) or the stand alone game

you won't be able to buy individual instruments until february according to gamestop.com.

How exactly do we get ahold of a second guitar this year?

"And my heart is filled with pain and darkness."

War Pigs has been over played. I would love to get Sabbath’s Fairies wear Boots. The drum solo in it would be a blast to play!

I put my pre-order in at gamestop a few weeks ago. I'm loving GH3 and really looking forward to RB as well. Drums drums drums!
I was tinkering with the drum kit at best buy last night...good god I have no rhythm.
I have my work cut out for me over thanksgiving.
Hah, I only have a day or two to play before Thanksgiving when everyone else will have a shot. I have to be at least two difficulty levels ahead of them by then, haha.
i have my ps3 in the next room, does anybody know if the instruments will work with my ps3 not being in the same room as my tv???

Only 8 more days.

If you haven't preordered, you could have a hard time getting this game. Apparently the publisher has contacted EBgames, Gamestops, and Gamecrazys and who knows who else to shut down preorders because of limited supply. I procrastinated and tried to preorder at all three (online too) and no dice for the bundle.

Amazon is doing preorders for $249. No thanks. Looks like i'll be standing in line with Kess.
Newegg has it for $164.98 shipped...

That's where I pre-ordered mine from at the beginning of the month...I hope they'll be able to fill them all.

I'll be firing up the coffee maker at about 7 am. You bring the dough-nuts. Or is that just a Canadian thing in the morning? Free health care allows us a little less worry about such things, maybe.

All kidding aside, I think this is gonna be a tricky call trying to guess when the line-up is going to start, or if it'll even start at all. Like I've said, GH3 had at least 300 in line at the BB, for all the systems....with only PS2 versions left over. It just sucks that there's such a limited release of such things....especially so close to Christmas. GH3 is still not available where I am....and maybe not again before the holidays.

I think I'm most anxious to get Rockband because it's really the only PS3 game you can plug in and play with a bunch of friends. And have a tonne of fun with. The concept is simple, and almost everybody can get through a song on easy the first or second time. Then again, it's actually often funnier in a group situation when people screw up! If my copy of GH3 is any indication, Rockband is going to be a HUGE hit for me and my friends. And even more importantly, to my wife and her friends!

I have this on pre-order from Gamestop, I wonder how much I could get for it on fleabay, any speculations?
So i hear the mic and drums are wired but they guitar is wireless. I have also heard its not going to be bluetooth but RF. What exactly does that mean. I have my ps3 in the room next to my tv room. Will the guitar work through one wall
post #168 of 6042
Yes, it's RF which means radio frequency, which means that the signal should go through your wall barring that they are not concrete and your guitar is within fairly close proximity to your PS3.

Wow, those Metallica songs are awesome, I can't wait for this game.
That Metallica pack is SICK, gotta be hard as hell too, and still more to be announced. I don't have a preorder, call around tomorrow to see if i can get one, probably won't. Most likely will be standing in line, but that should be pretty short at my stores.

HMX told all the gamestops and ebgames to stop taking preorders. I'd try big box stores with pre order programs.

newegg is still taking preorders. So i've hedged my bet and went ahead and preordered but plan on showing up at GS if they do a midnight release. I should have a good chance considering most of the preorders are for the 360 version.

OMFG..... THANK YOU, they went right to the classics.

Another winner, but Roxanne is a lousy selection....there are better police songs for sure with better guitar parts.

Odd selections here.......personally I want Look Back In Anger, a more rocking tune with both challenging guitar and drum parts (particularly drums, will require constant cymbol playing). Heroes is the real "huh?" entry...

As good as the Metallica Pack...although War Pigs is a double-dip from GH2.

This, frankly, sucks. Lousy Ramones tune, lousy Clash tune.....

well the great thing is if you don't like certian songs you don't have to buy them. Plus there's the DLC albums which haven't been detailed yet.
/drool over the Metallica pack...hopefully "One" isn't too far behind, and "Fade to Black" would be awesome as well.
