How can you tell? They're all the same!!!

You gotta remember, these songs are not picked just for guitar. This is a great song to sing, and decent (but not spectacular) for guitar/bass/drums. I am still hoping I can play bass and sing, just like Sting . I am not good at all at Guitar Hero (very rarely played it) so I am not so sure I will be able to play and sing at the same time, at least not at first...

I'm a little dissapointed in the initial batch of downloadable songs. Particularly the selections for Bowie, and even the Metallica ones.

Regardless, over time I hope they really blow out the possibilities here, and provide us with some truly classic rock songs to play in the game.

so far, only the Metallica pack is worth mentioning. Rest just seem to be "Ok"

it's very possible and is reccomended by HMX for BWT mode if you can't get together 4 people.

it's all relative but again they haven't even posted the info on DLC albums and It's been confirmed that the who's Who's there?, "Nevermind" and a grateful dead album are on teh way. they also mentioned at least one metallica album on teh way. Hopefully by friday we'll know more.

As far as I know, only the "Who's Next" album has been confirmed, and I'll be all over that one. I love that album, but besides that I'm not too excited about the rest of the stuff they've announced.

I love "MY Sharona", but it just so happens to be a cover version.

another note: if you don't like teh vocals for any track the idea is you can try and sing them better yourself.

Dont suppose you can record your vocal tracks and play back the song on another instrument with your own vocals can you? Course I cringe at the idea of hearing myself butcher songs well out of my range, but you know...if someone can actually *sing* that would be a cool idea. Have your buddy come over, lay down the vocals....then you play the song while the vocal track plays back...shouldn't be too hard to time-stamp the recordings to the HD.....

murdering the lyrics the whole way through...plus anyone whos under 30 is gonna look at you like "what the hell is dad singing? Is he drunk!?"

There are just better Police tunes, is all...I realize everyone has their favorites....I just think they should focus on more "energetic" songs. I mean, I dont wanna be seeing Power Ballads show up :P

well no your right, I mean again the thing that brings down any music game is taht taste Especially in music is subjective. I know for a fact HMX picked songs to be incorporated into BWT mode. SO having slower songs helps when your doing the "endless" set list at the end of BWT mode.

I think moonage daydream was an awesome selection for it, the other two Bowie songs aren't as good selections, but still decent. I'm only 18 and saw The Police on their reunion tour, so you can't rule out the younger demographic for these older songs, they are still well known. I'd love to see 'the beds too big without you', fun to sing, and a pretty good bass line.

I'd definitely buy a cheesy power ballads DLC pack.

lol...it's all good. Ride the Lightning was the first CD I ever had, and FtB immediately hooked me. Something about the guitar.

Does anyone have an idea when they'll ship from Newegg? I chose overnight in the hopes of it arriving on the day before Thanksgiving...

I have a question. I want to pick up the PS2 version for my nephews this christmas. They have not upgraded to the newer systems yet. Does anyone know if I will have to buy a hub to plug in all the instruments or will everything plug right into the PS2. They have a slim model.

I believe the ps2 and 360 version come with a hub.

Yeah. I read MS required them to include the hub. PS3 the hub isn't required by Sony. I guess since only the 40gig owners need it.

People on the Rock Band forum are reporting that the Guitar Hero 3 wireless Les Paul is not working with Rock Band on PS3. Some people were thinking of getting the game alone and play with their GH3 guitar until the instruments become available individually next year. If this holds true there not point in selling the game alone for PS3. This is bad.

Its actually just one person. The guys over at ign are testing it out either sunday or monday, so I'd just wait for word from them until anyone starts to panic. I can't believe it wouldn't work, since there are standalone discs for Rock Band, and if it doesn't I'd imagine they'd want to fix it if they could.

Am hoping it's all still a go on Tuesday. (As I will traveling to the States to try and get one.) If anyone hears about any delays (specifically in North Dakota) please let me know!

No delays. Stores already have their stock in the back. Just waiting for Tuesday now.

I posted this in another post, but again, here's something interesting: When I phoned the Best Buy in Fargo...and yes they will be having a midnight opening for Rock Band, by the way, (Only for an hour, though apparently)...but the strange thing is that the game-section guy told me they're getting only 20 PS3 versions, but "hundreds" of XBOX 360 versions of the game! Does that sound a little odd to anyone? Is it normally like that for games that come out on both systems?

I'm hoping to stand in front of the Best Buy in Fargo at about...9 pm, maybe? No idea what the lineups are going to be like. Anyone have any suggestions? Three hours prior to opening sounds about right, but it also sounds a little crazy. I'm all for crazy.

If no one is there, just hang out in the car. I would imagine someone might be there, but that's just how my area generally is. Generally not huge lines here, but the first people always seem to be way too early.

My usual spot to get games early is a small local Video Game store, BUT this time all the small stores arent getting any of the bundles. The middle man wanted to charge them $160 for each bundle and then sell them for $170 only making a $10 profit.
The guy told me for such a small store he cant afford it. By then all the GameStops in the area Sold out of Preorders SOOO Im stuck either waiting for the stores to open on tues morn....ORR calling maad stores on tues morning and seeing if they have any in stock and running over there...

I wouldnt be surprised if people try to buy like 5 of these and put them on fleabay....

It is def the biggest thing this holiday season....

All the big retail stores will have extras in stock for sure, how long to camp just depends on where you live.
