Why don't you just buy yourself a nice center to match your Paradigms?
Or set up a Zone2; it's not that difficult to deal with. Once it is set up, you just turn it on or off.
zone two is workable.... for my receiver, it's very inconvenient to control on the remote.
for my music listening, i don't need surround sound. pure direct.. maybe 2.1.
also, i don't sit in front of the TV for my music listening... my Paradigm are in a different corner of a large room.
