brand spanking new koodies-free 3D analytical glasses with the rentals ... good deal in the Land to the North. you know Barney's paranoid about catching someone else's koodies since Bobby-Joe turned him down in the 5th grade dance .

Bobby-Joe, a girl with two boys names as her first? ...or maybe Barney just likes to get his freak on

Barney's 100% USDA certified all man beefcake . In fact he's a man's man... nevermind, strike that last statement.

Bobby-Joe... huhhhh sighhhh innocent young love, kinda girl you remember for the rest of life... back to the 1400 discussion. Next up Elf! Perdy girl in there that looks just like Bobby-Joe!

WHADABOUT THE MOVIE BARNEY?
Rent: Yes
Boomoo Collection: Yes

Elf should be popular this time of the season. It's a wholesome good family spaghetti Christmas with maple syrup comical treat. Big kids and especially young ones enjoyed it. If you can get a good sale on it or with some kind of Holiday bundle, definitely boomoo collection worthy.

Sorry Barney, but anything with Will Ferrell in it should be rated as "Stupid". I don't think Barney ever rates a movie poorly.

Not unless the movie has great acting, good story/plot, and was Oscar nominated.

Let me correct your typo, "Worst flick ever made. It is so bad that I'll rather watch Street Fighter 200 times straight. It is so bad that no even Mystery Science Theater 3000 will touch it."

There, you can thank me later

Judging by Barney's review I'll guess that Hellboy2 is playing just fine on the Sammy.

I have been reading about lots of problems with the disc.
what kind of problems Randy, buddy? Awesome boomoo, great 7.1 surrounds. The 1400 played it flawlessly for me. Looking for a good deal to add it to my boomoo collection now...
^^

+1...Hellboy2 was perfect on my 1400 and is a worthy addition to our collections.

People are reporting the "Unknown Disc Error" message. I'm wondering if some discs are defective. I would rather buy a disc that has the risk of a defect at Target or BB so that I can quickly and easily return it rather than buy from Amazon and have to deal with sending it back.

I see. Tho not a specific problem, just maybe isolated ones? Any particular player or all?

Aside from that, just finished Clone Wars. There is definitely a problem with Warner's trash encoders because The Dolby Digital EX is behaving erratically and sticking when choosing TrueHD. For my fellow Onkyo 805 buddies, I've found the cause and cure for this... Stay tuned for the technical review if you're having problem with Clone Wars and the DD EX track .

btw, Larry buddy, that THX living life intro in Star Wars: The Clone Wars made ripples through the 4.5L bottle of Mr. Walker, Black Label . Awesome !

By my count it locked up two Panny BD30's and gave the unknown disc message on a Sony 350 and a Sammy 1500.

I'm thinking a bad batch of discs which would make getting a good one a roll of the dice. Odds are that if you get a bad one from a store all of their discs will be bad. This may not be good.

I may wait to get this.

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS

MOVIE IN A NUTSHELL SUMMARY
Set somewhere in 2nd episode, Count Dooky... I mean Dooku wants Jabba the Hutt's support, kidnaps Hutt's son and frame the Republic for doing so.

* When selecting the TrueHD track, the "Dolby D EX" codec remains displayed on the Onkyo 805. The problem is the setting under the 805>>> Setup >>> Audio Adjust >>> Dolby EX >>> Auto (default). Change this setting from Auto to Manual and you should be good to go. Not a 1400 problem. Also it sometime takes 20 to 30 seconds to switch audio tracks for some reason. Probably need to blame Warner for this!

1) Behind the Story Background on how The Clone Wars began.

2) Bookmark Feature Bookmark data is erased when the movie is reloaded.

3) Deleted Scenes

4) Hologram Memory Challenge Memory game. complete 3 separate levels of the memory game to unlock some Clone Wars TV series preview... way too hard and too much work for what you gonna get, IMHO. Not say I can't do it... OK, might need my 2 year old help with this .

5) Webisodes 6 more behind the scenes stuff.

6) THX Intro 45 seconds of total harmonic bliss.

WHADABOUT THE MOVIE BARNEY?
Rent: Yes
Boomoo Collection: Maybe

Star Wars: The Clone Wars was not as cheezy as I thought. Once the movie start rolling, you become reacquainted with the Star Wars series all over again. Adding the spectacular dynamic surround sound 5.1 TrueHD track, it commands a rental at least. Call me old fashion, but I still preferred the live action presentation of Star Wars. I hope George Lucas will consider doing another movie or better, a TV series non-animated of episodes 2 1/2 and 3 1/2. One lesson Lucas Films should be aware of in the future, is to make sure the prestigious THX sight and sound quality standards will not be compromised by shotty home video studios and distributors. Have not seen a single episode of the of the TV series, The Clone Wars cartoon will always be an appetizer when compared to the full 6 plate main course.

This statement makes me want to maybe check this one out.
I have always thought the same thing, although I may be guilty of judging it by it's cover kind of thing, since I've never seen any of these animated Star Wars.

I would definately consider myself a Star Wars fan, but not a Star Wars nut. ...and I do love animated movies (especially Pixar as you can tell by my avatar ).
My biggest concern, is by watching this movie (or any of the series), is it going to "ruin" Star Wars for me...

The THX intro is amazing...just good old DD 5.1 to boot.

I need to acquire one of these movies (INDY 4 is another) just for the intro. It would take a significant portion of your Mr. Walker for me to sit through The Clone Wars.

Not at all buddy. The clone wars kinda enhances the star wars series altogether. I was going over the many behind the scenes stuff and concluded that the clone wars was created because "there were many star wars stories left to tell". Seeing many episodes of animation can be done more quickly than a full blown live action movie, Lucas kinda chosen that route. I'm a Star Wars nut and felt the Clone Wars did not disgraced his franchise Star War series... Then again Clone Wars is just an "appetizer" compared to the full blown live 6 episodes... If I can put George Lucas in a chicken wing and force him to create another 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 episode or episode 7 or a TV series all non-animated, then I will definitely would!

com'on George, we forgive you for the Indy 4 flop . Throw us a new Star Wars bone!

btw, LFE presence in The Clone Wars was very active throughout the movie... light sabers swinging and all !

Barney, maybe if you feed George Lucas a pile of delectable chicken wings and some of your Mr. Walker Black, he would come around to your request.

This was probably how the idea for INDY 4 was hatched...

I guess a fair amount of ex-CS Reps from Sammy moved over to Sony.
