Shopping Day for HD DVDs - Part 3 - Labor Day edition :)

Post your Labor Day HD DVD purchases, either online or from the retail store if you bought any.

Here's mine and I couldn't be happier. Long live Fry's Electronics.

Btw, I had a wonderful experience today. A LOT of people buying HD DVD players A LOT. I even helped the older couple grandma and grandpa picked up the $399 A20 and I told them to make sure to ask from Fry's to contact Best Buy and confirm a price match for A20 because they are selling it for $299 today. They were picking out HD DVD movies and I pointed out that they should first check the 5 free movies they want to pick up so they don't buy doubles when they can get these for free.

Beautiful experience and I think that the couple was really really happy. The price is making miracles guys. Btw, unlike previous times Toshiba players were hooked into a LOT of Plasma TVs in their electronics (hi-fi) dept. Wonderful site.

Nfinity, I thought you were going to sell your BD collection? You always rail on BD, and yet you support it. It's your money, but you don't put it where your mouth is.

I can see why you are excited to buy movies but why are you so over the top thrilled that an old couple bought an HD player?

I think hes just happy to have helped out an older couple who are probably in the dark when it comes to hd media. I know my family in general has no idea about any of it even though I've explained it over and over again. I'm sure it felt good walking out of there knowing hes satisfied and the other couple was equally satisfied since he saved them alot of money.

by the way I picked up Bourne supremacy, I've never seen it so I hope its a good movie as well as good pq

Good show brother. Its always nice to help people out so they don't get ripped off and they get the most for their bucks. That's good stuff!

Enjoy your movies, awesome! I didn't pick up any titles, I'm trying to figure out how my wallet will survive the next few month until Christmas with all the aweome titles coming to HD-DVD and Blu Ray! I mean I have Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, and Blade Runner all pre-ordered on Amazon, that is some serious cash, not to mention all the other titles.

I received my copies of Blades of Glory and Heroes Season 1. I just watched Blades earlier and I thought it was good and funny.

No purchases for me but I do have 29 HD DVD titles on order.

You should've bought The Host on Blu-ray. It has a PCM track that's not on the HD-DVD.

Hoping to pick up the D&T blu-ray today, and ordered Assault on Precinct 13 HD DVD through half.com on Sunday.

It definitely was a big HD DVD weekend of purchasing for me as well.. picked up Heroes, The Hurricane, Blades of Glory, Meet the Fockers, and Dantes Peak. Have been glued to the TV all weekend watching Heroes, that is an awesome show!

Man, I feel like I am HD DVD starved. My BB, albeit they have the titles, will never get another dime from me. Target and Walmart are my only recourse. Neither of them carry squat for HD DVD. This is in an area where there is literally a Starbucks on every corner (Chicago suburbs).

So, disappointing purchasing weekend for me. I had to order from Amazon again.
