Who sells Elite 1150HD online?

This is my first post, so this may be a stupid question.

Do any of the forum sponsors sell ELITEs? I am interested in the 1150HD or the 150FD (if it is available yet).

Thanks!

It's been discussed in here before ... online dealers (forum sponsors and others) will not be able to sell the Elites - PRO 110FD and PRO 150FD. And that's a real disappointment for those of us that like to support our sponsors.

Forum sponsor Value Electronics sells the Elites. You have to call them and order. Elites can't be sold by clicking links online. They have to be ordered by phone (in order to end up with a warranty at the end of the process, anyway). Robert from VE was posting in both 8th generation Pio threads (the ones that are stickys on top) last night. It should be easy to find him.

....and also reported that discussion was not true. If you read the 8G Kuro owners thread you will see a lucky few avs members ordered through calling into online elite dealers or called into other elite dealers they got info on to place orders and have already received PRO150FD's last week and avs'ers should be reporting getting more Kuro Elites delivered in the next few weeks as Pioneer gets more of the PRO150FD and PRO110FD in distribution. just pm some members to find info

I'm good friends with a guy who is an Elite dealer that has been trying to become a text ad sponsor on the forum since last week but the ad company is super slow and has unresponsive support. Maybe he will have his ad up sometime in the next few days. Value Electronics is supposed to be very good too.

What is your plan if you end up with a stuck pixel? Will your online vendor get you a new TV? I think not. So, you are taking a risk albeit a small one by buying online. A stuck pixel or two is possible 1-2% of the time even with an Elite.

My local dealer said if it happens you are STUCK with the TV. Best Buy will replace it with no questions in the first 30 days. Imagine, a mega dollar TV with a stuck pixel in the center. I would rather have a 768P TV than one with one or two stuck pixels.

Of course, people like to play the odds when it comes to saving money. The odds are in your favor your Elite will be perfect. If however, you are one of the unluck 2% too bad for you.
