New contact "Action" page for HD DVD supporters

This was killed in the Software Discussion section after BD folks felt it was better in the HD DVD sections, so I'm re-posting here.

It's been a long time since we had a thread on this, so here is the BRAND NEW contact page for all supporters who wish the studios (and more) to listen.

Here is the new page - http://www.campaignhd.com/807_The_Time_Is_Now.html

And here is the new Home Page - http://www.campaignhd.com

We have a lot more contacts than before, and if you haven't sent your feelings in lately, this would be a VERY good time...

Also - if you did not receive the latest newsletter this week, or would like to get our quarterly updates, feel free to join our list here.

This is my favorite blog from that site. Most of the stuff has citations from AVS with lots coming directly from posts of BD insiders. I'm not hell bent on BD going down in flames b/c I think over the long run competition will be good, but if BD's hardware issues are bigger than everyone thought, eventually instead of just waiting for the players and advanced BD profiles, it will just make sense for studios to switch and pull the bandaid off quickly. If the replication of BD50s is as bad as this guy makes it sound, I don't see how Blu-ray is sustainable from purely a business standpoint.

rdjam: I guess this is your site and you wrote all that?

If so, very nice.

How about a letter/links for Walmart? Maybe we could be a little proactive as opposed to seeing which way they lean after Cedia?

There are rumors flying both ways as far as their "exclusive" support possiblities.

There's some big petition stuff upcoming... stay tuned. Anyone who's not getting the regular emails should "rejoin", as some names were lost by the first petition service.

The wording is good, the spelling should be American though. Maybe offer an alternative version.

The letter has good points but the key is to focus on the consumer: studio relationship. They want to hear you won't buy any of their movies until they support HD DVD or will purchase their movies because they do. Express unhappiness with studios who support BD exclusively (offer an example of being a long-term loyal DVD buyer), and indicate you will neither purchase their DVDs nor BD editions until they support HD DVD.

Let's encourage DreamWorks to release more titles like Shrek, The Prince of Egypt, Chicken Run, El Dorado and Antz (we need more exclusive family oriented HD DVDs).

Thanks again.
