Hi salvag98,

We do not have any upcoming additions for Q2 in Texas. We are still in the planning stages of what's to come. When we are ready to make additions, 30 day notices will come either on the local newspaper and/or on your bill. (This will not be a billing insert). It will actually print directly on the bill.

If there's anything else that we can assist with please let us know!

Hi, I'm a new customer in 23434. I am very disappointed to see that while Fox News is in HD MSNBC is not and why isn't BBC America? And why aren't all of the premium in HD? Does Charter know how bad SD/analog looks especially on a big screen hdtv?

Are there any plans to bring those HD channels and whole home dvr to my area? What is going on with whole home dvr? Hasn't it been in Texas alone for almost a year?

I'm just not sure that I'll be staying with Charter or take an out on the 30 day guarantee.

Edit: Oops, I erred, it's TIVO that's been in Texas for so long. I'd like to know what plans are for my are regarding TIVO, whole house dvr, MSNBC HD and BBCA HD too.

Good Morning,

Thanks you for your inquiry! I will need to contact your local office to see if there are any plans to add the requested channels in HD.

There are no plans to expand multi-room capability in your market until TiVo launches there. For updates and info, including notification when available, can be found here: http://www.charter.com/tivo

I will response just as soona s we hear back regarding the channels.

Thanks,

Dylan

I heard back from the marketing team in your area, and we are looking to add 35 HD channels sometime near the end of June/beginning of July. When we get close to launching those channels we will be including inserts with your bills that will give details to the new lineup/additions.

If you have any other questions or concerns in the future please let us know and we can help.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Upgrades are still being rolled out in your market. We're looking to add quite a few HD selections this year but don't have any information on what will be changing exactely at this time.

Good Morning,

While we don't have any specific launch date or channel info, the goal is to have 150 HD channels in every market by end of the year so you should see quite a few more added in coming months

Thanks,

Dylan
This would be AMAZING! If the goal is met it will put Charter at the top of the list for available HD channels according to this list. Depending on what the other providers add between now and then. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1058081

Please let WGN America be one of the 150!!! Been waiting for that one forever!

BBC World News (even if it's only in SD) would be nice, too.

Unfortunately we will have to retract this statement. Due to limitations in some areas we have had to alter the goal to 100 channels by the end of the year. Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.

What about HD additions for Laurens, SC (29360)? We want top quality HD here too. Also, we want more sd channel additions and a new box and a new 2013 and beyond HD epg. The current boxes are old and the guide look like it is from the 1980s.

As stated previous we hope to see significant upgrades to all of our areas by the end of the year. In regards to the guide, what changes would you like to see? I can pass along any feedback you have including your request for different box options.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Here's one. How about the ability to delete channels I don't watch so I don't have to flick though 500 channels all the time?

Good evening,

I understand that it can be frustrating to have to click through the entire guide to get to the channels you are wanting to see. There are ways to set up your channels lists on all boxes. Here is a link that goes through the program guide for each type of box.

http://www.myaccount.charter.com/cus...px?menuitem=62

Thanks, and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Ummm that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about changing channels. I want to not have to go through 500 channels to get to the 2 dozen or so I might actually be interested in.

I would like to request the ability to filter out duplicate channels in the Guide when both HD and SD are available.

I'd also appreciate it if CBS next to NBC and ABC in the HD band, instead of several channels in between.

UMatter2Charter: Can you tell me what HDDVR boxes are available to me in my are (23434)? I have the Motorola and the guide does look like something from the 80s.

Good Morning,

Thank you for the feedback. Our goal is to have the channel lineups realigned by the end of the year which should significantly improve the current lineup. The only way to filter out specific channels now is by creating a favorites list. If you go to this link and click "Setting Favorites" from the interactive menu it will give you instructions on how to do this: http://www.myaccount.charter.com/iguide/

Currently, Motorola boxes are the only devices available in your area until TiVo launches. (http://www.charter.com/tivo

Thanks,

Dylan

Sorry but that does not accomplish what I and many other wants to do. It's pretty simple what we want is to be able to use the channel up and down buttons to channels surf and not have to go through 50 channels in a row we never watch. Why this is hard for you to implement is beyond me.

Thank you. Do you have any news on the progress of TIVO?

While we can provide feedback for what we wouldl ike to see in the devices, we do not directly develop the software. The capabilities you are looking for will be available with the TiVo.

For updates and all TiVo related info please see http://www.charter.com/tivo On the right hand side you can even sign up to be alerted once it's available in your area.

I have a technical request for Smyrna, GA (30080). The music channels appear on the screen with black bars on the top and bottom of the HDTV. I have plasmas and, due to the black bars, I am reluctant to play the music channels in the background for extended periods for fear of burn in. Would you please ask if they can adjust these channels so that the artist information, etc., that appears on the screen will actually fill the entire 16 x 9 frame?

Good Morning,

We do appreciate and will submit your feedback. In the meantime, most HDTV's have the ability to stretch an image to fill the screen which would avoid any threat of burn in.

Was watching the episode of 'Conan' that I recorded with my Ceton infiniTV4 thuner, on TBS last night and noticed that it was "Copy Protected" Checked on some other things recorded recently on that channel and they too were Copy Once. I know that the premium channels had recently gone 'Copy Once' but up until TBS, all the other channels were 'Copy Freely'. Was wondering if this was required by TBS or if the broadcast flag was being sent out erroneously? Are other channels going to be 'Copy Once' enforced like Time Warner; where everything but the local network channels are 'Copy Once'

Edit: Upon further digging; I the tuner diagnostics it lists the copy protection as: Copy Generation Management System - Analog: "One Copy" (0x02). And according to this Wikipedia article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CGMS-A it is not the same as the Broadcast Flag. This seems to be the only channel that is affected.

Sorry for the trouble. I don't have an exact answer but will be happy to reach out to your local market for more info. I'll responde just as soon as I hear back!
