What it did not include is any effort to find out what was going on. Surely someone at Charter knew the change to the music channels was only a couple weeks away. So instead of researching the question and relaying relevant information, you sent a smiley face designed to make an insult to a customer's intelligence more socially acceptable. Next time, please leave the response process to Abby, who always seems to make an effort to find information and is professional in her messages.
2. Charter (or more likely, the Music Choice service itself) made it worse. The screen is now jet black amost everywhere with giant bright MC near the middle that didn't move once in the hour or so I had a music channel playing yesterday. I guess there aren't enough plasma owners anymore for content providers to care about static images. I had hoped to be able to leave the TV on in the background to play music, plus have the opportunity to look up and see artist information when something catches my ear. No such luck.
Good Morning,
I apologize if that is how my response came across, I did not intend it that way. I have a Plasma in my own living room at home and my fiancée watches those channels often while working out or doing things around the house so I am personally aware of the situation. When we tune to those channels, I am able to change the format and stretch it on my TV without a problem. My mention of this was nothing more than an attempt to provide a resolution to your issue. The feed itself is provided to us in that format and the most that we can do is pass along your feedback, which I did. Also, please understand that while information about format changes may be known, they're not always available to be released by the public. The change was made, as you suspected, by Music Choice, not Charter. This means we have to follow the rules given to us about what can and cannot be discussed publicly prior to the changes occurring.
Also, when reading text online it is difficult to portray sentiment or emotion through text on a screen. For this reason, I use smiley faces fairly regularly to convey that I am not being angry or sarcastic which should be the message received when the emoticon is taken at face value. I am sorry that it did not come across that way.
As always, we are more than happy to offer support in any way we can. If you ever have any issues in the future please feel free to hit us up.
Thanks,
Dylan
