Good Afternoon,

I will need to contact local to get specific info on that. I'm not currently showing anything but will respond just as soon as I hear back!

Thanks Dylan,
I can be watching tv and no matter what channel, it will just go blank for a moment and eventually come back. Tivo says its the cable card not updating or refreshing. I figured maybe they were doing some more maint, because on one of my shows I recorded, at the very begining it switched to a another channel and went back real quick, like they were shuffling around the qam channels.

Can you tell me what new HD channels the 30542 market is getting?

Also, are there any plans to offer NBA TV and Fox Soccer+, if not I'd like to make a request? And does Charter offer MLS Direct Kick?
I'd also like to know if Charter has any plans to streamline the sports package? As of right now if I want certain sports only channels I have to order both the Latino package and the Sports Package. ESPN Deportes, GOL TV, Fox Sports en Espanol, are only available on the Latino Package. Can you guys add these to the Sports Package? I know this used to be the case a couple years ago. I don't know why that changed.

I'd also like to request these channels in HD if they arent currently on the way.

NBA TV HD
Galavision HD
Telemundo HD
Telefutura HD
Fox Soccer Channel HD
Espn Deportes HD
Gol TV HD
Fox Sports en espanol HD

My zip code is 30542

Hi mr_qman,

You can download/view/print all of your upcoming HD additions here: www.charter.com/futuretv. Be sure to select "GA - Gainesville - Flowery Branch" via the drops downs for the lineup most specific to your area. I have submitted any remaining HD requests that you have listed. To answer your question about sports, they will still remain separate from our ethnic tiers. I will definitely pass along your suggestion though!

Please let us know if your questions have been answered.

Thanks,
Abby

Umatter - having difficulty with a cable-card install on TiVo Premier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any effort in the works to group channels more logically? For example, in Smyrna, GA, the main HD chanel of each premium movie provider is in the 750s and the other HD channels for those movie services will be in the 600s. It would be nice to have them in consecutive groups, and the same theory would apply to sports and kids channels, which are all over the place. Here is an example:

HBO 2 HD 602
HBO Signature HD 603
HBO Family HD 604
HBO HD 750

MoreMax HD 617
ActionMax HD 618
Cinemax HD 751

Showtime Too HD 637
SHO Showcase HD 638
Showtime Extreme HD 640
Showtime HD 753

The Movie Channel Xtra HD 653
The Movie Channel HD 754

Starz In Black HD 662
Starz Cinema HD 664
Starz Kids & Family HD 665
Starz HD 756

Wouldn't it make more sense to number these consecutively (either in the 600s or 700s; it really doesn't matter)? I'd even put IFC, HDNET Movies, and EPIX HD in the same consecutive group. Similarly, we have ESPN-HD and ESPN2-HD at 720 and 721, along with some other sports channels, but then have ESPN-U and the NFL channels in the 800s. We also have Nick-HD at 728, Disney HD at 749, and Disney XD (HD) in the 800s.

Hi:

Here in Medford Oregon (97501) the SD Weather channel has local Local on the 8s, but the HD version is the national feed. Please ask the local techs to look into this. Thanks.

Hi Blue,

That is definitely something we should consider. I have not heard of any plans to regroup our channels in the near future, but I have forwarded your suggestion to local marketing. If I am able to get more information I will be sure to post here.

Thanks,
Abby

Hi Gerry,

Sorry about the trouble with your Local on the 8s. I am not showing any alerts for this in Medford. In order to investigate further, please send me a PM with the following:

Address:
Phone Number:
When did you first notice the issue?:

Thank you,

Sent a DM, probably after you signed off last night. Have to say I am very disappointed in the phone "support" I received yesterday. 2+ hours on the phone in the AM, then on the phone again in the evening. Elevated to the "Tivo Specialist," which did not result in any improvement (Tivo Specialist said she has not ever even seen a Tivo). Still missing all the premium channels. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good Morning,

How was your service over the weekend? Local stated that there are no plans currently to launch sdv. That doesn't mean that you won't get additional channels though.

Thanks,

Dylan

*Correction* I misread the info for the area and currently SDV is *NOT* active in Fort Worth. There is no ETR or plans currently for completion but this should not impact the plans for our goal of 100 HD channels in all markets.

Thanks,

Dylan

I'm showing some channels in the guide that are not listed on Charter.com nor am I able to tune them. They are in the range 656-659 and I'm in 92506 and use an HDHR Prime.

There may be others, but I haven't checked. What's going on here?

Hey Dylan,
I did a reboot after taking out cable card and put back in, so far it hasn't repeated yet. Thanks

Good Morning,

If they are not listed on the lineup and you are unable to tune to them then there is nothing on those channels at this time. Shouldn't affect your service at all. smile.gif

Thanks,

Dylan

There's a way in Microsoft Media Center to delete channels from the guide that I don't get so that it is easier to surf. This, of course, can be reversed but I'd rather not delete forthcoming channels and then not know when they are available. Any news on this? These are HD channels. CookHD, DIYHD, GreenHD, WEHD. Channels I don't watch too much but had in the Uverse line up. Are they coming later this year?

BTW, the tech that was at my house last Saturday said that analog is on the way out to free up bandwidth within the next year or so. True or False?
I looked at the latest guide on the futuretv site. These channels are listed but I'm not being able to tune them..

EDIT.. Oops, I was looking at 75# on the listing. NM.
CSPAN listed, but not in the guide at all 303.
BTW, is there any plan to organize the line-up? It looks like a teenager's bedroom right now. I KNOW Charter can do better.

I just sent a hit to your box. If you are still having trouble with any of the channels please list all of the channels that are not coming in and what channel number you are checking.

All available information on upcoming channels can be found on the FutureTV site. If it isn't listed there then there is no information currently available for release for your area.

We are moving towards a digital platform in some markets. This will open up room for additional HD channels. Wer are only testing right now so we do not know which markets will go digital at this time.

We are reorganizing the lineup with the addition of more channels.

Thanks,

Dylan
Okay. C-Span is listed at 303 but it is tuning at 99.

A head's up on the re-organization would be nice for those of us with CC Tuners because we have to do a few things on our end too I think.

Channels 656-659 show in the guide provided by Windows Media Center but don't tune in so I figure maybe they got a little ahead of Charter. I left them in the guide for now. Maybe they'll just show up one day.
I'm showing CSpan should be on 303 so I'll need to send that over to your local market. Any channel changes will continue to be listed on the FutureTV website when available. I'll respond just as soon as I hear back from your local market.

Thanks,

Dylan
It doesn't really matter to me because I can re-map it to 303 to match the printed information. It could be where the guide provider thinks it is. Did the position of C-Span get changed recently?

EDIT: It is on 303 now after I put it there. biggrin.gif

As long as they don't disconnect me again while there at it tongue.gif .

I'm thinking that the guide service used by WMC could be the problem here. They may have beed going off old information or something.

I get those with only the sports package in 92506 but maybe it is the proximity to the boarder (~80 miles) in this market. They are only in SD which Charter should re-consider as I'm sure they want to not leave out a significant percentage of their market. These are in HD on Uverse.

So don't go disable it for me.

As far as sports vs ethnic, those are each sets which contain common subsets. If one pays extra for sports, one should get all the sports no matter the language. Football (the one actually played with your feet) is the most popular sport in the world. Do 200,000 people pack a stadium to watch a video feed of the superbowl like they do in Europe for a world cup QUILIFIER match? Not even. Would Charter not provide coverage of the Bunesliga because it is broadcast in Spanish or German or the King's English? Most definitely. The sports package needs to include ALL SPORTS, especially the world's most popular sport, without regard to what channel it is on or what language it is in.
