I'm sorry, but I find that funny
My reason being: some people go to great lengths and cost to buy themselves some fantastic pre-amps or receivers, only to end up completely at the mercy of the cheap DAC crammed into a consumer level device!
While most of the cost of "high-end" gear is purely for the name and the fancy case, there are the times when the actual internal "guts" are superior to consumer level gear. Of all the parts other than the power supply, the DACs are typically where you'll find the greatest difference. But when using an analogue input, you're now essentially using that expensive piece of gear for little more than a switch and a volume knob!
