But a trade-in program would be tempting. As was said before - kinda depends on the $$$.
The main upgrade I would go after would be the improved on/off contrast ratio. (We don't know if the ANSI is improved yet.) But I wonder just how visible it would actually be? My black level and shadow detail is pretty amazing (IMHO) - and I'm currently very happy w/ it. But I know there is room for improvement. Also - my RS1 has very nice convergence and has worked flawlessly for me. Never a glitch or hick-up. My only complaint is the slightly bright corner issue - noticeable only on occassion - and which may or may not be improved on the RS2.
All good points. I have what I consider to be a "good" RS1, as I don't have many of the issues that a few others have mentioned. Good convergence, good brightness, the shading is pretty good etc.
Even with some type of trade in program, I doubt it would be worth it for just better on/off contrast. If there were a noticeable improvement in ASNI contrast, more accurate color/tweaking ability, etc, then I might reconsider....but even I would probably be better off just waiting.
