Final push to finish basement theater...

First, I want to thank all of you who have contributed here. There is a wealth of information on this site that has encouraged me to spend countless A.D.D. riddled hours reading various topics and checking out some awesome craftsmenship. I have been lurking here for over a year and after being stuck on various issues (and not wanting to ask for help), I am ready for the final push to the finish. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
My basement is 12'.3" W, 22' L, 7'.5" H.

EQUIPMENT:
-Speakers: Front RBH t2 system, includes subs and outboard amps.
Center RBH 661se
Rear RBH wm24's
Side ??
-Processor: Carver Digital 9.1
-Amplifier: Carver Digital 5 channel
-DVD player: Pioneer Elite Dv 59
-Cable: Kimber in-wall, Blue Jeans in-wall, AV123 balanced interconnects, Zu cable, Zebra cables.

STILL NEED: Sanyo PLZ-5 or Panasonic AE100U.
Screen: 92" diaganol due to size of speakers. Probably Goo screen to start with.
Lighting: 7, 6" recessed. I have built mdf boxes to put them in and still need to re-install
Seating: ?

I am going to use ddwall with GG. Since I am giong to buy GG, I would like to save some money by using 1x3" furring strips instead of isolation clips and hat channel. Will the furring strips work alright, and can someone tell me the best way to install the strips. ie. spacing etc?
Thanks again.

I used Integrity Gasket between studs and the first layer of drywall. I haven't yet installed any equipment, so can't tell you how effective it is in sound isolation...but it was fairly inexpensive and extremely easy to use. Seemed like a good compromise. There are other threads here where it's discussed in more detail...

I paid $115 for 10 rolls that totaled 1000 ft.

When I researched this in the past, the recommendation was to space the furring 24" OC. I ended up just doing DD + GG and going straight to the joists. It worked out fine for my needs, but you can feel some rumble in the floor directly above the HT room during heavy bass scenes. I suspect the furring might have helped a bit, but not as good as the clips and hat channel.

It was mentioned that someone used Integrity Gaskets, i went to there website and they seem to be based in ohio.
Does anyone know of a gasket source that is based in the greater new york area?
Or some sort of search engine of directory that has a listing of places?
I know i can order them but I'd rather have a face to face to save time on possible re-orders.
Thanks guys!
