Planet Earth HD DVD issues w/ 360 addon?

Hey, I sold a copy of Planet Earth on EBay sealed. The buyer is claiming that it won't play on their XBOX360 addon and now wants a refund after owning it for 2 1/2 weeks. He has a feedback of 2(yeah, my fault). But, before, I tell him to stick it, I wanted to make sure that this wasn't a known problem.

Mr. Treweiler, if you visit these forums, please use this post to give more details, since you won't answer my emails...

no problems here. i own it, i watch it alot. he should update his firmware, as i had to when i first got it (provided he's not up to date).

there's not been any known issues about playback on the planet earth discs that i've seen or heard about.

note. i own the bbc release.

I've watched it on the Xbox 360 HD DVD player addon without any problems.

I've watched the entire series on my 360 AO and no problems what so ever.

There is an important update for the HD-DVD that's available when you connect it to your 360 (however, I am sure there is a copy of it floating some where). If you do not update the HD-DVD there have been some who had problems with certain titles.

If you sold him a factory-sealed copy, I don't see how player compatibility issues are your concern, anyhow. You accurately and reasonably described the product you delivered. The suitability of that product for his purposes is his concern, right?

If you sold it sealded tell him to contact warner for a replacement.

PS does the buyer even own the HDDVD addon drive?

you HAVE to do the firmware update for the 360 or it will not work. My friend bought it and didnt work after he went to this website i think its called www.thelookofperfect.com or something like that. It says it right in the planet earth box you download the update to your computer burn it to a disk and then it will update your 360. Or you can just connect to live and it will download it automatically.

Thanks guys.

I emailed him about the firmware update. I'm not taking it back, I already spent his money...
