What is the frequency and bit depth of the Wally world DVD? They have another skynard release on HD tracks this week at 44.1/24.

There's a picture over the Steve Hoffman forum and it looks like it say 96 khz/ 24 bits 5.1 on the dvd disc..

I saw the above title used on ebay for $19.99 shipped and figured why not throw a bid on it. Average used prices are around $50 so I was surprised that I was the only bidder .

Thanks ! I can't believe I hit the 200 mark but there it is. The funny thing is I'm mostly playing jazz lately and not much rock at all. Probably a music listening phase I'm going through. But no way am I selling any of my favorite rock SACDs .

Maybe there is a super secret SACD (SSSh) forum out there that we're not aware of . Maybe that is where those guys are hanging out. All kidding aside I hope Martin and Brock are doing well and enjoying their music .

Jimmy Cobb - Cobb's Corner SACD

I have one Chesky SACD from Jimmy Cobb and the SQ is excellent. So I thought I would grab these before the prices increase. My standard justification tactic .

This is still showing on Wal-Mart but is this a DVD-Video with a 2 channel hi-res layer or is this a true DVD-Audio format?j

EDIT: Answer my own post here.........From the Amazon website it looks like Disc 3 is a DVD-A and DVD-V combined. Just placed my order.

Right - ordered from Wal-Mart. The description on the Wal-Mart site was lacking so I went to Amazon where they have some photos of the jacket which could be enlarged. On the jacket it shows disc 3 and DVD Audio format.

I'm still in the process of getting settled...move from hell. Still don't have any of my equipment. I'm waiting to close on a house next week (w/mancave) and take delivery of the "Hi Rez" library the following week. Hope it's all there???? I've saved lot's of coin being away from this crack site the last few weeks. But like all addicts, they/we seem to come back for more . Nice to catch up and see all the new/great purchases.

I've not listened to any hi-rez stuff in over 2 months now. The shakes ended at the 3 week period. Good to know I have a good "stash" of "only listened to once" discs waiting to be "smoked."

Might have to order the COME AWAY WITH ME SACD meself..........The 200gram vinyl is one of my prized albums along with Shelby Lynn's JUST A LITTLE LOVIN'. Would be curious to know how the MCH SACD sounds (of Norah).

Most recent arrivals from Japan, the Sab Vol IV and self-titled debut SHM SACDs. Not terribly impressive. The Vol IV may even be a touch worse than the Castle CD in some respects.

Bill Evans Trio - Sunday At The Village Vanguard APO SACD

It looked like this SACD from Bill Evans was OOP as the prices have gone crazy and no dealers had any stock. I was looking on the Acoustic Sounds site a few days ago and this title showed "limited availability". I grabbed one quick and now it looks like it is a "no show" on the Acoustic Sounds site.

Thanks . I think I got lucky on this one. But fear not as I emailed Acoustic Sounds awhile back about the Sunday At The Village Vanguard APO SACD. They replied that this title will most likely be rereleased in a new round of SACD releases in the future. But if you see it available at Acoustic Sounds for $25 I would grab one just to be sure .

Thanks for the heads up bud I will def look into this, True story you know what's weird I was looking through my old emails, and I notice I had preordered a Stan Getz Pure from Acoustic Sound around this time last year, I guess they had them at the time, but they never filled in my order Sorry a little off topic but those bastards you just reminded me about my pain and suffering they cause, I'm getting me a good lawyer!

Dire Straits - Alchemy on SHM-SACD

Got the Blu-ray of that which is PCM stereo and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio ...

Need to get that. If only "On The Night" is available on DVD or Blu-ray.

I need to get this Bluray. To me the Bluray is the way to go over the SHM-SACD. The added bonus of 1080i video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio makes it an easy choice for me. All for under $20 on Amazon.
