I had a chance to watch/listen to this one and I was a little disappointed. It is an anthology/rockumentary type of thing rather than a music disc. There are brief riffs here and there and a short acoustical jam at the very end but for the most part, it is devoid of any musical content that you would want to actually sit down and listen to. It is in DTS HD MA but sort of a waste since it is mostly narration, interviews and that sort of thing.
It is worth the current price ($7-9) if you are a Jack White, Jimmy Page or The Edge fan just to learn more about them. The part that shows Jack White's bleeding hands all over his guitar are interesting and the parts where he talks about the cheap guitars he uses is fascinating. Heck, I probably threw away 4 or 5 of those old Silvertone guitars I had back in the '60s and '70s. His penchant for analog is refreshing too.
The short acoustical jam session at the end where they play a bit of The Weight (The Band) was really good but the entire song would have been nice as a closing.
