I hope you realize you're not going to get any sympathy on that point from the poor souls (myself included) who don't get any USA-HD, do you?

Isn't that the only point to this silly exercise?

C'mon now, practically none of these types of show go to that much effort. I think television has finally reconciled itself with the notion that a willful suspension of disbelief is no longer necessary, in light of the foregone suspension of intelligence found in the average viewer.

I know that as a staunch defender of BSG, this will probably be considered treason, but I don't think that taffyrose's point (taffyrose???) is entirely without merit. Most, if not all of us, primarily know Trish with respect to her role as Six, the hot Marilyn Monroe smoldering look and wardrobe, and all the brain power and guile that the former lacked. With her blonde hear teased up modern style, and her low-cut outfits, she was a formidable woman. My preference was for Boomer, but you can't deny Trish's presence in her role. The whole package worked.
Now we're getting a more human version of Trish. Attractive, yes. The manipulative bombshell queen of the skinjob cylons? No. I have to agree that trish has a helluva shadow-image to live up to. So far, not so compelling, and its got to be a tough adjustment for both her and the creative team, because as much fun as BN is......well, its not like Newsweek is ever going to be enraptured by the scripts.
Trish does seem a bit out of synchronicity with the show, but I'm not sure its all her fault. My best guess is that as Fox already had her under contract for the other show in the fall and was presumably paying her, they might have chosen the BN stint as a test run to determine just how much of a load she could be counted on to carry in the other series, which was probably tailored to her talents.
I think we need to give it a few more eps to see how the course is running, and if anyone alone is truly at fault here.
