Univeral remotes, will they operate my ExpressVu 6100 receiver?

I want to invest in a Logitech harmony type univeral remote but need to know which, if any, will be able to operate my BEV 6100 HD satellite receiver. I believe it is similar to some DISHNET receivers. I don't know who manufactures it for sure but it says echostar technologies on the back of it. I would like a remote that can be programmed to perform multiple functions with the press of one button (macros?). I'm interested to know information on any makes and models that will work for me. I believe this receiver uses a RF type UHF remote to operate it. Thanks.

The Harmony remotes from Logitech control the 6100 very well. I have a Harmony 880 and the 890 for my dedicated room, both work very well with the Bell.

Thanks.

Are you saying the Harmony remotes are capable of controlling UHF devices?

No, the 6100 accepts both IR & RF signals even though the oem remote is RF only.

RF universal remotes are IR only controlling remotes, but use their own rf frequencies to do it from afar.
