Voice Recognition possibilities

on a conference call with Vocollect for work, we are going to be doing warehouse picking using Voice and Im just thinking this would work in my house

Need to get the product at home for a demo!

The devices are TCPIP and from what its sounds the "Voicedirect" option just means open up the TCPIP port to the device and send it a string....seems to be a push design though I wonder how it works in a polling enviroment...I say "AV Family room", it knows I want to do something with AV in the family room.

If it's just spitting out a string of some sort, it could be done as a CQC IR driver. Though it's not IR, it would use the same architecture as an IR receiver device, and our IR driver architecture already has all the stuff required to map incoming serial or socket data to an action. We use the IR architecture for our RTI driver, though it's really an RF device, for this reason.
