Yes, this is true, but the majority of weed smokers are high school and college students that eventually grow up. Having a weed themed gamertag is the height of immaturity.

I agree with the charge to change your name. Otherwise, as others have noted, jerks would piss people off each week, then change their name and do it over again and again. I do laugh at some of the names that teenagers on my friends list have and think, "Boy, you are going to want to change that in a year or two when it's no longer 'cool' to have fartz and poo in your gamer tag."

If you give out your gamertag you're going to have to shelf DOAX2

i might agree with the gamertag comment, but certainly NOT with the 'eventually grow up' comment. Of course, my co-workers and friends might not meet your standards for the label of 'adults' anyway, so maybe we're both correct.

You don't. If enough people send bad feedback on your GT then M$ will force you to change your name and it's free..

If I was you I would setup another account away from your "personal" one. You wouldn't want to have to watch your P's and Q's cuz they could be watching at anytime.

At first, I thought this was cheating the system, and morally suspect. But, I have changed my mind. The system forcing a name change when you have complaints about your name is there to prevent improper names. The OP has an improper name (to use with his students) and wants it changed. I do not think whether the name's owner wants it changed should have anything to do with it being changed for free (due to inappropriateness). Since the name would be changed to an acceptable one, a second free re-naming would not occur. The $10 fee is to prevent people from hopping names constantly (and db costs associated with maintaining all that history in every game you play, support investigating people after a name change, etc.).

Um...in most states smoking weed gets a teacher fired. And how do you define "respectable?" I know I lose respect for any professional who likes to smoke weed, I'm sure most others do too.

You should at least be able to change your gamertag once for free.After that,charge.I've had my gamertag for nearly 5 years and I'd love to change it,but it's crazy to charge that much to do so.

I'm a professional, and I consider smoking mj morally a little worse than riding a roller coaster, but a little better than drinking alcohol. Unless you're a sheep who believes any law a misguided legislature should pass as morally correct, then I can't see why you would judge smoking marijuana so harshly.

For practical reason I don't smoke MJ (I don't want to get in trouble). But there's nothing about smoking it that would make me lose respect for a person that does.
