If your floor vibrates, that can be bad. Turn your stereo up as loud as it will go.
Now walk around the basement. How does it sound? If it does not sound good, you might have a resonance problem. fix any areas that buzz, or just don't sound right - glue and screws. Now turn you stereo off, and walk around the room - do you feel weak spots, or hear squeaks? You may not think you hear these things, but they are there - more so when you crank things up.
Get stray vibrations out of the room, make sure your speakers are
level (more important they don't rock back and forth). Then let us know what you find. please.
