Bought all new equipment, new hd receiver, new hd dvr. Took a vacation day off and now, nothing. I was told by csr last week, that it was today, the 19th at 6:00 A.M. central time and I got nothing. So where are they at?

So, exactly what were you planning to watch that was so important you actually took a day off to watch TV? I'd say no offense, but I really mean this: you're an idiot.

I think the prudent thing to do (if there is such a thing when it comes to taking off work to watch TV) would've been to wait for the channels to go live, and take the following day off to enjoy them. Yes?

I have 4 weeks vacation buiilt up. Since I didn't get any HD today, I went and played golf today. Shot a 74 on par 72. Not bad, but I still want my HD! No I'm not an idiot.

well, my story is even worse. i planned to work from home today while they upgraded my system to hd, with a free receiver and installation. well, the installer went the wrong address after I had confirmed with directv the correct installation twice. the installer then called me back and told me that i was out of their service area and that directv would have to reschedule an installation with me. they then tried to re-schedule my installation for october 9. i told them that was unacceptable, and discontinued service immediately after they were unwilling to do anything to compensate me for the inconvenience they have caused me. i'm sure that they will call me within a few days, but i have had enough of their incompetent csrs, unless they offer me a lot of freebies.
