I am about to upgrade my Dish service to HD soon, and I had a question or two on the 722 receiver. On the main TV, I will hook up the 722 with a HDMI cable to my AV receiver. I would also like to run component directly to the TV, for when I don't feel like powering up the AV receiver.
If I do this, will I have to change the output from HDMI to component everytime I do this? Or does the 722 output to HDMI and analog (component) simultaneously? If it does output simultaneously, any opinions on the picture quality of the HD channels over component?
I was also curious if many of you have opted for the hard drive storage upgrade/expansion, and can that be done remotely by Dish, or does it require a service call?
Lastly, I currently have a Dish 500, and they tell me I will need a new Dish, or they will possibly have to add a second one. Needless to say, I'm not too keen on another dish hanging off the house. The current one is on the roof. I really don't want a second one up there. I live in the Chicagoland area. Does anyone have 2 dishes attached to their house, and if so, is the second dish just as big as the first?
Thanks in advance for any help.
