Great for wallpaper, but I don't have a widescreen on my laptop. Unless I use "stretch" mode I lose both HRG and Sylar. What (free) app will allow me to letterbox that picture?

OMG I can't wait. I need to buy an external antenna so I can get this in HD. It is going to be TOUGH watching this on a weekly basis after blazing through Season One on HD DVD.

Is NBC airing Heroes on Saturday 8PM as well? I checked the listings and it shows up there.

If so, I might set up to record the full 90 minutes of DWTS and just record Heroes on Saturdays. It takes me forever to catch up on a week's worth of TV. And Heroes/BSG can be the icing on the cake. I'd just have to stay away from this thread all week.

Anyone know if this will be a permanent thing for NBC?

Amazing! The potential applications are virtually endless. For example, with this tech you can have DL in the promo picture, then take him out if needed, using a very, very simple interface (my *father* could do it). Seam Carving does much, much more than simple resizing and aspect ratio change.

As for the promo, thanks, but my buddy had already sent me pretty much the same thing (PhotoShop as well) but with black letterboxing; IMO black works much nicer for wallpaper.

Off topic? This whole friggin' thread is off topic. I enjoy the eye candy, but it's an HD programming thread, not a fan site.

Seems to me the thread is about one particular HD program, so I'm not sure why it would be considered off topic.

In the old days, this forum was where geeks would go to discuss HDTV from a technical perspective. Now it's a place where geeks go to talk about shows they see on their HDTV. I guess there aren't enough fan sites to discuss "plot" and stars, so they do it here.

As far as I'm concerned, any thread that worries about spoilers doesn't belong here. But I'm just a crumudgeon.

Yes... you... are! . To be fair, back in the day we had many more important things to discuss such as when the next HD sporting event would be on to watch, or when XXX network would finally go HD with XXX show.

Back on topic, I can't believe the new season is starting already. Seems like the summer went by so fast. Hope it's good!

I can't believe we stopped the Heroes Thread after only 162 pages. However I do see why it is better to make smaller threads then one big huge one filled to the max. It saves people from going to far back from getting information on previous episodes and it is an easier serch when there are less pages.

To get back to the topic before we were forwarded here. I am amazed that you guys have issues with Nathan surviving. It will be the HOW that the writers will have to impress us with. All of you should know that they didn't go through most of the season making him Senator for nothing.
However for arguements sake, Only the 9 in the finale (Claire, HRG, Matt, Molly, Micah, Dl, Nikki, Suresh, & Peter)know that he SHOULD be dead so maybe like HDMe2 said they have the a person like the illusionist to be him while the company hunts down the 7 that know the truth.

NBC is airing repeats on Saturday nights, the only constant will be L&O:CI after USA shows a new episode. Other then that the other 2 hrs could be shows NBC wants to generate extra buzz for or just "shwo offs" of early canceled shows.
You would be taking a serious chance by recording a different show on Mondays.

She technically isn't on the run anymore. They might have to relocate, explaining the new outfit. But remember, Mr Bennet killed off his boss and he knew that Linderman was getting the ax also, for all they know is that the company is doomed and the Hero Locator (Molly)is with them now. Either with DL & Nikki or Clarie and her family.

She's on a different team, hence the uniform. Guess the family relocated and she joined her new school's team.
