Quit jokelling around. As far as I'm concerned, it is absolutely clear (I'll see your bold, and raise you an underline ) that Angela Petrelli IS one of the Heroes, just not this generation of Heroes (and an italics at 20 paces).

Volume 2 (Generations) will undoubtedly confirm this at some point.

So...umm...why no discussion about tonights episode??

I thought it was very, very, very good . Lots of new story lines opening up .

I'm not too crazy about NBC copying TNT's uber-large ads for other shows across the bottom of the screen. There's nothing like having 1/3 of the screen obscured by an ad for Journeyman to take a viewer out of the moment. Sheesh.

Back OT, my girlfriend and I just finished watching Season 1 on HD DVD on Sunday, and were excited to see tonight's episode. Aside from the technical issues - displaying a letterboxed SD version on the HD channel for several minutes and about a 30 second dropout - I thought the episode started the season off on a good foot. I probably could have done without the incessant "variations on a theme" Nissan commercials though.

So anyone have any good ideas on who the hooded character was who killed the first victim of the season? I hope it's a new character...there were some names mentioned that I hadn't heard before tonight.

The ep was OK and the pop-up ads do suck. Looks to be more exciting next week.

Pops ups suck.

Nissan gets rep for being cheap. Don't make a big deal about "remainder of the show presented commercial-free courtesy of Nissan" when there's only 8 or 9 minutes left.

9 straight minutes of a television show, in a row, with no commercials at all? Wow.

I just want to know whats up with Nathan. what was up with his face?? Was it really that messed up, or is it just something he's seeing or what...that was weird...

Maybe that is what he looked like after Peter exploded with him in the sky and he is just remembering.

As far as we know, Parkman's wife has no powers. And Internet girl mysteriously disappeared. I gather the comics online explained what happened to her, but whatever happened she isn't on the show anymore.

I did say non-blonde heroes seem to be killed... several non-blondes without powers are still around, so it seems you only die if you are a hero that isn't blonde. No similar rule seems to apply to the men.

I suppose, technically, Molly counts as a non-blonde female that didn't die... but usually kids don't die on shows like these so all bets on Molly are off until she hits puberty. Then she might want to invest in hair coloring to survive the show!

I did too - but played it back - it was Nathan.

I'm staying away from spoilers... but there are a couple of odd things about tonight's episode. So I can't question everything, but not all the plotholes are even hero-power related...

This is 4 months later... so... with the election last season happening in November, this would have to be March at the earliest... which would be almost at the end of a schoolyear with Claire having missed most of the year (she hadn't been in school for at least a couple of weeks by the end of last season)... so shouldn't she be majorly behind to start at a new school?

And Parkman... they mention his divorce... but, last time we saw him and his wife they seemed to be getting along and she was just pregnant... then he takes 4 bullets to the chest, which presumably would take a bit to heal... so what the heck could happen that would cause his pregnant wife to want a divorce? And how on earth did they get one that quickly? I don't know anyone who didn't leave the country who gets a divorce that quickly!

There's power-related stuff that would be too much spoiler to ask about... but the non-hero stuff had truck-sized holes that confused me.

I thought it might've been pretty as well...until Peter showed up in the cargo container in Ireland(?) and chained to the inside of it...

Lots of questions come up in this episode...

Who killed Sulu?
Whose behind the 'mark'?
Who does Molly see in her dreams?
Is the English guy really Kensei or is it (like I think) really Hiro?
And most importantly...

Why is Silar the cockroach that just won't die!!

I think Sark really was Kensei - just that history painted a much more flattering picture. If Hiro hadn't intervened, it is likely it would have gone down just like the legend.

But does anybody else think Heroes looks too polished and cool now that big money NBC got their hands on it? Honestly, I liked last season's roughness...now everything is too perfect and too clean...I dunno, there's just something different about it. I enjoyed tonight's episode and can't wait for the rest of the season though...And No Ali Larter in the first ep? Who's bright idea was that...

I always spoil myself by watching the DVDs before hand and getting used to the lack of commercials...now I got to break myself back into regular TV...

If looking too "big budget" was a problem for you, the annoying pop ups should even things out. Nothing says "Low Rent Network" like pop ups schlepping your other shows during your primetime programming.

Anyway, back to the show: Agreed. Hiro most likely changed history.

The pop-ups really looked cheap, bad move NBC, however the overall picture quality looked fantastic on my RS1. HD done right!

would of luved to see tonights show but local idiots decided to show the 'aints for those without cable.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that made calls and sent emails for such an idiotic move.

Internet girl was outed in the online novel. She took out the sat that kept track of the powers.

Yeah the pop-ups and cheesey-TNT-esque ads were very annoying...during Chuck and Heroes...didn't notice them that much on Journeyman...or maybe they just stopped playing them...

I didn't particularly like 3 of the same Nissan commercials in a row either...I got up and left after the first commercial break...

I think I saw enough trailers for Bionic Woman to know its on Wednesday at this point...

Yeah, the pop-ups were obscene, but NBC is going to milk their big hit to help feed the new bastard-children shows. Can't wait for that cross-over with Bionic Woman .

If there was any moral/theme to tonight's episode, I would have to say that if you have powers, your personal life is destined to go straight into the crapper. Nathan, Parkman, and worst of all, the Bennett household having to integrate with the Cali lifestyle. No wonder Claire was willing to take that leap. Brrrr.

It seemed to me that was how Nathan ended up looking after the trip to infinity and beyond, and may very well be his current appearance which is somehow being concealed, as if he had gotten something like Candace's powers, or perhaps more likely, the undefined powers of either one of his parents.

I thought the ep was okay, and served its primary initial purpose, which was to throw us a few mysteries, while laying the foundation for the issues to come.

Funny, I didn't see ANY commercials.

The show looked the same as last season to me.

At first I thought the flying kid was Peter in disguise (Trans-forMERS...).

Why did they assume Sylar was dead if there was no body? Didn't anyone notice the blood leading to the sewar?

Overall a great episode.

I thought it was a great episode and I'm glad it's back.

I didn't mind the pop-ups. I found out about Journeyman. Too bad I missed it and just scheduled the DVR starting with the next ep. But the first one will repeat on Sci-Fi (hopefully HD by then).

I'm glad it's back but where is Nikki? I need my Ali Larter fix...

You can explain away her being "behind" by saying they just lied on her transcripts (they changed her name, why not her grades?). But I think the fact that its supposed to be four months after November is the most glaring error... she's clearly starting the 11th grade, so we're missing a few months somewhere.

Also, why is Nathan bearded and no longer Congressman Petrelli? If he lived, he'd probably want to go on with the elected life. Fishy fishy...

it OK for me, not great. Seems like they threw a lot of stuff at the wall , I wonder how much will stick - almost too much going on.

I was really angry at the end and looking at the previews. I am so tired of the hackneyed, clichéd, over used soap stunt of memory loss. Give me a break. We have to watch Peter stumble around for part or all of the season playing John Doe. Bah!

I could understand them faking records of her past grades... but she would still be behind, which would result in her failing the rest of the year horribly.

Also, I couldn't watch it again (I watched live and didn't record) but I thought I heard as you did that she was "starting" 11th grade... which sounds like another 4-5 months beyond "4 months later" has passed. I hate to say it, but I think someone forgot their whole election day plotline and thought they ended the year in May when the series ended and the 4 months was over the summer hiatus...
