Problems with SiriusConnect home tuner

After connecting my SiriusConnect SC-H1 to my Sirius-ready Onkyo TX-SR705, the SC-H1 indicator light never turns on, and the SR705 displays only the "Check SR Tuner" message.

There doesn't seem to be a "power on" button on the SC-H1 itself, so my original assumption was that the light would illuminate upon plugging in to the AC adapter. When this did not occur I changed my assumption, figuring that the light would illuminate after configuring the SR705 for Sirius and pressing the Tuner button until Sirius was displayed (per the receiver's manual). When that didn't occur I figured that one or both of the 705 or the SC-H1 (or one of its included components: 8-pin cable or AC adapter) were defective, but since it is still unclear to me at just what stage of the operation the SC-H1's light is supposed to turn on, this is going to be tough to troubleshoot.

I will start by exchanging my SC-H1 for a new one on today, but if I've missed something obvious (or not so obvious) please let me know!

The light on SC-H1 should turn on once you plug it into the AC adapter. I don't remember if the receiver (i have the same 705) should be switched to Tuner but it must be turned on.

It looks like your problem is with the SC-H1.

Yes, thanks for confirmation. I replaced the defective SC-H1 and everything works great now.
