Without reading every single post, I'd like to comment on the title of the thread and the blog post itself.
Halo 3 is no doubt huge. Yes, it is a system seller. Yes it will be the biggest mass media launch ever. It will not make or break the 360. The 360 is already "made" so to speak. There is a great library already, with many many more AAA titles coming this holiday. None will be bigger than Halo, but Halo cannot do it by itself. GHIII, and Rock Band appeal to the masses and will sell a ton, this list is so big and has been discussed so many times I don't need to recap. If the 360 did not have the hardware problems I don't see how even the Wii would have topped it.
Metroid Prime 3 proved the Wii is more than a fad, let alone Zelda:TP. It has staying power, it's a lot of fun. I don't see why so many knock the Wii for what it is, yet they keep selling so many units. Accept it for what it is, it's fun, it's less $$, what's the problem?
Hopefully the PS3 will have its time to shine. I haven't counted it out completely, but it's falling fast for me.
Overall, I think this "article" is complete fud, Cnet may be ok to read cell phone reviews but I don't trust them at all for game knowledge. Whatever the goal was I hope it backfires.
