Having caught several Kaley's interviews her take on the relationship is basically... she hopes they end up together however it's a journey to mold him into what she is looking for... and to a large degree he has (arguably) been maturing at a faster rate than the other guys with Penny playing more than a small part in it.

I sure wish Jim Parsons would go back to his old hair cut.

I hope they don't drag this breaking up/getting back so much... get it over with already!?

That doesn't always work out well. Never understood the "molding" or changing him" philosophy? They don't do it to their female counterparts? I just hope they resolve the relationship issue quickly and not drag it out. Can someone please tell the writers that the "Coffee Bean" is on Lake Ave not "Lake st"!

Of course we are talking about fictional characters and even if we weren't it would be next to impossible to know their true desires and motives... however my take is more in the line of letting him grow into what he can become (hoping he turns into what she is looking for) versus attempting to change him. By opening his eyes to the rest of the world... I have seen little evidence of her attempting to turn him into her dream boyfriend/husband. Almost to the point some pushing might do him well.

I'm hoping this is leading up to some serious Wolowitz payback aka like the last 2 and a Half Men ended with Waldon giving Zoey the dog.

Maybe having her best friend married has her thinking about her future.

Agreed, this is going to be a very good season and with 2+1/2 a must-see TV Thursday.

OK. Maybe nobody else watched, or nobody else was bothered by this. But, these guys being the geeks they all are, Howard would be being treated like a god.

None of them would be ignoring him. They would be falling all over him. The writers blew this, badly.

Raising Hope is funnier.

I think they all agreed and aware that Howard was coming home and he'll be having his honeymoon and all so they didn't bother him and they were preparing for the party the next day..

Too bad Bernie had that huge cold and there wasn't anything Howard could do...

At least that lady on the diner acknowledged that Howard was an astronaut and all...

I scratched my head when Howie Mandel appeared.. I never thought I see him on a CBS show.. LOL

That was the setup for the episode... but if you want justification if it was someone they didn't know it might be true. With it being Howard... he's still Howard.

I thought the episode was hilarious, especially the line where Raj said he and the comic book guy were "filling each others holes".

Was very weird when Penny kissed Sheldon's nose, then all his face and then Amy came to help kissing him more.. I was rolling on the floor that time (maybe Leonard could join them also LOL)..

Immensely funny episode -- in large part because nearly all of the humor was based on who the characters are and have been to each other. So it wasn't situational humor, it was character humor, which tends to reward fans and escape newcomers. A sitcom needs a certain amount of courage, or at least confidence, to do that.

The episode was a hoot. 30 minutes, what 30 minutes, it was only 20 min and 53 sec long.

A definite laugh a minute.

Well, it's been nearly the entire season, but Alex has finally started laying it on thick for Leonard. She's cute

The writers are on their game this season.

Shed several tears... some 'cause of laughter, some others when Penny finally said the L word to Leonard...

Nice to see an episode focused more on the core original characters interacting with each other. But I agree, Alex is interesting, and I'm sure it's no accident that her crush on Leonard and Penny's little slip-of-the-tongue were part of the same episode.

Agreed. I saw somewhere a complaint that BBT had become nothing but yet another sitcom about relationships the last couple years. I think they saw that too, and this season went back to more of Sheldon's antics. Plus a little less relationship stuff.

Call me crazy but I'd rather Leonard end up with Alex.

...until we find out what kind of crazy issue or issues Alex has...

But it's the crazy ones that men end up with usually and we all know why!

Reminds me of another CBS sitcom.

As long as she stays above the yellow line on the "Hot-Crazy" scale, its all good. And she's pretty hot IMO.

I generally like all the episodes but you're right, this one was really hilarious. A lot of funny bits but I actually fell off the bed when Penny was showing Howard how to gut a fish, he pulls the insides out and Penny screams something like "ooh, look, it's a female, you can see the eggs" and they all throw up. I know exactly how they felt.
