Ati 2600 AC3/DTS over HDMI does it work?

I am looking at getting a new video card with HDMI capability for my HTPC and was wondering if the HDMI audio from an ATI 2600 will output AC3/DTS to an Onkyo receiver capable of decoding AC3/DTS?
Do the current drivers support this?

I cannot confirm, but I have heard that it works. According to the specs, (FWIW), it says it should work.

I know my answer isn't much help if you already knew that it should work.....you are then asking if someone can confirm it works.
