Does your BD-P1200 run very HOT?

While playing, my BD-P1200 get's very hot under the right side (i.e. below the motherboard), much hotter than my XA2. Even ejected discs are fairly warm. Is this normal for the P1200? Could this be the source of the many reported problems with the drives eventually going bad? (stuttering, etc)

Just to give you my experience about that, the unit I tried did run hot. My friend's PS3 did not run as hot as the 1200 did.

I eventually returned it but it doesn't mean there would be a problem down the road because of that. There were other issues more so why I returned it but that was just another reason.

The unit itself doesn't get hot but the disc is warm when I'm done watching a moive and eject the disc. The disc is also warm after watching a movie on my HD-A20 player as well.

Since these players are basically PC's and the chips have headsinks inside the case, I can only assume some heat will be generated and dissappated in the case.

I've had zero issues with my BD-P1200 and it actually loads discs faster than the BD-S300 I had a for a while.

Yes it gets hot, but I am more concerned about the lip synch issue on
1080p/24. Especially when I do not have a 1080p/24 set to check for the lip sync right now.
