Help!

I'm been reading this forum for over a week and my head hurts with reading sooo much information that I'm starting to get cross eyed.

I'm having a hard time deciding between a Yamaha RX-V661 or Onkyo TX-SR605. I would like to stick with the Onkyo TX-SR605, however my concern have been reading the many posts regarding the popping and humming noises.

Here's what I have

56" 1080p Samsung LED DLP TV.
Speakers are Polk RTi8's with RTi4s
OPPO DV-980H 1080p.
Dish Network

I don't have any of the PS3 or Xbox

It will be mainly watching movies and music.

I realize that there a tons and tons and tons of info on both of these receivers, I just don't want to read over 1000 pages. Could someone help me out.
