Here's a weird thing I've encountered.
I've downloaded all kinds of trailers from movie-list, they are all .MOV files, and I can play them in Media Player, PowerDVD, but not in Quicktime. I get sometimes sound, and never video. Most of the time the video is scrambled or garbled.
I can take the files to another machine and they play fine in Quicktime.
The machine I'm wanting to use is a slightly older Toshiba M200 tablet. It's probably a 4+ year old PC, but I'd like to display the trailers, PICS, Intros, etc... outside my theater room and have it mounted on (or in) the wall.
Any suggestions on what I can do to resolve this. I'm guessing it's a codec that is needed for quicktime, since WMP and PDVD can play the files just fine.
UPDATE - Ok, I got the video working in Quicktime. I had to tell Quicktime to use SafeMode for video. It seems that GeForce Go5200 video card in this machine just can't handle HD video. I thought I had changed that once already, but it wasn't changed when I looked again. Oh well. Guess this video card wasn't meant to handle 720 and 1080 HD video on 32MB of Video RAM..... Imagine that....
