Using Two different brands of subs at once - disasterous?

I have two different Subs, one SVS, one Adire. They are tuned to different frequencies, and currently the Adire is sitting unused next to the SVS. What would happen to my system if I moved the Adire to the rear left or right corner and kept the SVS in the Front right corner? What's the best and worst case scenario here?

Best, the combination will work together to fill dips, even out your frequency response and sound great.

Worst, they will cancel each other out at various frequencies, depending greatly upon their differing tuning points and placements.

Oh, and a rift in the time space continuum could open up... that would be bad too.

It can be done, but takes a little extra work setting up and tweaking. Do not expect a perfect theoretical +6 db accross the whole spectrum. Play with placement, phase, crossovers, and eq and you can get a fairly flat, balnced response.

I managed to get this from four subs consisting of three different varieties all playing together:
