Connections Issue

Not sure if this is the right subforum or not.....

I'm about to hook up a new projector in our conference room at work.

The existing wiring into the housing area is OLD....as in, it terminates in a 5BNC Component video setup.

Every projector I can find that works with our setup (long, narrow room) has pretty much has a VGA input. I've seen cables that are listed as VGA to 5BNC converters, and they're listed as bidirectional, but I'm not sure how the whole setup would work (connecting the 2 5BNC ends together) to get it to output VGA.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Here's how to solve this:

Get 5 female to female BNC couplers, and get a short SVGA to 5 BNC cable. Convert the BNC ends back to SVGA and connect that to any digital projector.

Thanks Curt. That's sort of what I figured but most of the cables I see list the conversion the other way, so I wasn't sure.

Like this one:

Do you know (I sent an email off to the company, too) if those types of cables are usually bi-directional?

Thanks everyone for the help. I'm a Systems Analyst kinda guy, with some "light" hardware knowledge....and a dabbling in more mundane A/V as a home hobby. This stuff is WAY outside my comfort zone.
