You're right, one isn't even close to the other.

If he is paying him to do work, he is not unofficially working for Audioholics...he REALLY IS working for audioholics.

Not sure I believe him, since he knowingly paid him way too many hours on a routine basis. But since there is nothing to contradict his story, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I am curious to hear Axiom's response to this. I can understand why they did not talk to Gene first, since there was an adversarial relationship between the two groups. Hopefully they can use this as a bridge to make that go away, and both groups can benefit from each other's strenghts.

I admit that was a bad use of analogy on my part. It was the first thing to pop into my head, that's all. I meant no disrespect to anyone with that comment.

Wasn't his account banned? The new account will probably be created in a month or two when he thinks the uproar has gone away.

if he does come back and does the same kind of things, then we must report his posts.

i think that's the best thing to do; but i don't know if this site takes the matter on their hands regarding trolls and bashers.

Good luck...and please post your thoughts. I know of one person who'd be interested in your opinion of the M80's vs. GE's. It happens to be another Axiom owner who was over at my place recently...I'll direct him to this thread once you have had some time with both speakers he is also looking for new towers...

Why did you opt for the vp180 vs. vp160?

Just from what I had read that it was better matched with the M80's.
As for the GE's they are just a different kinda sound from the bigger box towers and center channels.

Other than the sub, that's exactly the setup that I have. I took my old VP150 and stuck it in the rear as my surround back channel.

Enjoy and let us know what you think.

See I thought about doing this but some thought it was nuts! Complete overkill is all I heard

I just wanted to put in a plug for the M2 and M3 on-wall speakers. I tested what my new theater room's setup is like without the front 3 installed (did not want to carry them down to the basement just for a quick test). I have to say, I am amazed.

I played Transformers: Dark of the Moon, during the part where they airdrop into Chicago to take it. I could hear the shell casings tinging off the ground and other objects so clearly. Normally, the front 3 overwhelm the rest with sound, yes, you can still hear the shells with them...but without them, the clarity I heard was just amazing.

Not sure yet about the M0...thinking it might be too weak as my front heights. Have to wait until I carry the front 3 down to see if it is or not.

They're decent speakers for their intended use...but since I've moved into another direction I have pr of 22's and single w2 <1yr old in black ash listed @ CAM{canuck audio mart} for anybody in the market...

Hey guys,

Just a heads up that I have my pair of M2 v3 On-Wall speakers up for sale in the classifieds section.
Buying them was easy....selling them OTOH.....no so much....

I had my 22's & single 2 for sale for over a month now and nada....just goes to show what bad publicity or a few bad apples can do to a brand.

Thanks to all those involved.....

Maybe something to consider for those thinking about buying new speakers?
I give my old speakers away to my friends, or sell them to my friends for insanely low prices. That way they can upgrade their speakers without breaking the bank. I get years of service out of my speakers before I replace them, so no big deal.

I'm the same way but if my friends aren't interested I sell them for dirt cheap online. Right now I have them listed for $199 shipped.......I'd say that's pretty low for their 10/10 condition.
Well I had all 3 speakers listed for 375.00 cdn no less....I bought these last June....I'd be willing to part with them for even slightly less but I would rather have them sit in my basemant collecting dust...than just give them away. Funny though my Energy RC sold within hrs of me listing them...me and the buyer both came away happy from that deal...... To me it's says something about the brand in general, plenty of views but ZERO replies.

I really wish I needed them. I am using M2's and M3's for my surrounds...and M0s for my front heights. Unfortunately, the area I have to put front heights is only 11 inches tall and the M2 is 11.5 inches tall.

I would buy them from you in a heartbeat, but I cannot use them.
Yet another price drop on my M2 speakers.......definitely a very good deal for those interested.

I have no immediate friends/family that can use them.
Interestly enough, the search feature did not return this thread in my advanced search. I searched for Title only Axiom threads with more than 50 posts in them and threads which also contain cybrsage. No returns from the search. I had to go out to Bing to find this thread again.

That said, anyone selling some On Wall M2s? I want to replace my on wall M0s with them.
When I search for Axiom Owner, this thread still does not show up in the list...

I also searched for axiom posts by cybrsage and the post directly above this one did not show in the results.

Sorry for bumping a semi old thread first of all... Heh

I just decided to take the plunge and ordered a set of custom M60 V3's. I've always been curious to try Axiom and like the look of their stuff. I'm also doing my own build kinda in that I'm doing a Zaph|Audio ZA5 setup. I have the drivers, etc, already for them. I was going to do the cabinets myself but I decided to get Elemental Designs to build them for me. Personally I can't wait for either. I find it kind of funny that most run SVS subs instead since that is what I have. I'll be running this all off of Marantz gear, AV7005, MM7055, MM7025.

I guess it isn't that old. Didn't see the 2 newer posts. tongue.gif

It is not a fast moving thread.

Post your thoughts on the speakers when you get them. smile.gif

About a month ago I purchased a whole 5.1 axiom speaker setup:
QS8
M22
VP150
EP500

Despite the many bad things that I've read on varios message boards about this company, I've been pleasantly surprised. The QS8s sound great and seem to work really well even though I couldn't place them ideally due to the shape of my living room, the M22s are clear and detailed, the EP500 kicks out very low bass (usable down to 16 or 17 Hz based on the tone tests that I did) and blends well with all of the other speakers) and is loud enough for any usage that I've put it through. Even the VP150 (which everyone seems to think is a terrible speaker design with comb filtering and multiple tweeters) does it's job pretty well. Music and movies both sound great to me. Customer service was very good (I tried out the M3s and EP350 sub before settling on this final configuration) with no problems doing the returns, and quick (free) shipping to my door.

I've only got two complaints to be honest - When you get too far off axis (more than 30 degrees) the VP150 loses some high end. If you sit very far out of your sweet spot often this could be a problem for intelligibility when watching movies. While the smaller speakers seemed to be a pretty decent deal pricewise, I could probably have found a similar quality sub for less money from SVS or HSU.

Hey guys,

Up until now I had Axiom Audio QS8 v3 surround speakers but my local A/V dealer finally talked me into getting a pair of Paradigm Surround 3's since my LCR speakers are the new Paradigm Monitor Series 7 speakers.

I absolutely loved the QS8's but alas, the upgrade bug to have an entire mataching 5.1 setup bit too hard finally. I listed the QS8's on the classifieds forums here on AVS, Link, for anyone who might be interested.

Thanks

The many bad things by a few individuals with an ax to grind. I am a happy customer and would recommend them to anyone (after hearing them of course).

If I had a bunch of money and nothing to do with it, I would have all Paradigms in my system. But since the Millenium One surrounds cost twice what the M2s cost, I decided to save the extra throusand dollars and use it to pay for a little over half my projector instead. smile.gif
