I have not heard anything official, at least here in southwest GA...but this area I hear is golf-crazy, so I would not be too surprised if it is added in the near future.

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but Mediacom had updated their channel lineup effective 4/27/2010. Des Moines is showing 870 - Spike HD, 871 - Comedy Central HD, 872 - MTV HD, 873 - VH1 HD, 875 CMT HD, and 877 Nickelodeon HD.

Only interested in Spike. What I really want is FSC HD and ScyFy HD

Ive been using QAM in the Quad Cities to get HD channels, took a few weeks off of TV and now none of them work. I have the Family Pack.

Used to be 5.1, 6.1 18.1 etc, now I just get no signal

They are replacing HDNet and HDNMovie with MGM and Smithsonian? WTF not adding but replacing and two pemium channels lost.

I need some help. I'm ready to dump Mediacom and have had Dish installed for a trial go. I think I'm learning that the local channels are all Std. Def. Can anyone straighten me out here?????

Yep. I'll be dropping the HD Pak as soon as this happens. HDNet and HDNet Movies are over 50% of my TV viewing. Very disappointing.

I'm disappointed too. I won't be keeping the HD Pak either.

Hope you aren't disappointed with DSL's speed. I understand it's quite a bit slower than Mediacom's cable Internet.

Having to get DSL and not wanting 4 dish receivers in the house are the only reasons I haven't ditched Mediacom

Anyone having problems with E! HD ? This channel was added to Valdosta Mediacom lineup approximately a week ago. We tried to watch "Pride and Prejudice", a "4 Star" movie which turned out lousy. First the video would disappear but the audio would continue for a short period then nothing. A scan up or down would briefly return both video and audio, then 5-to 7 minutes later out goes video than audio. We fought it for maybe 30 min than dumped it. A couple days later I recorded it ; then during playback--same problem. Called support---you guessed it----no help.

Added today to Mediacom QC...

770 Spike HD
771 Comedy Cent HD
777 Nick HD

No program guide info yet, but you can watch them.

Officially dumped today. Loving Direct TV and 6mb DSL from ATT.

Anyone out there getting Golf Channel HD on Mediacom?
Nada - but do get it now on Direct TV! I just dumped Mediacrap and turned in all boxes today. I've had it with them. Also AT&T DSL is very fast at 6 megs down!

Exorcism complete.

Wow you must really be special. I've never seen that speed advertised. I was supposed to be getting the VIP speeds of up to 9 down and 1.5 up. Nominally averaged about 6-7. Bottom line its fast enuf for me and appears to be consistently faster than Mediacrap which did slow in PM sometimes. Any technology we have is "temporary" at best and will improve soon. At this point I've got same speed net, same phone service, way better TV at less than 1/2 the cost.

That's what I got when I measured (speedtest.net) yesterday during dinner time. But that's good for you....I'd consider sat if I didn't have so much invested in TiVo (which I love, by the way).

Ya I know. If I was TIVO invested I'd be more hard pressed to swap.
I don't move to D* because of TiVo as well

Golf HD showed up on Valdosta Mediacom channel 826 today, just in time for Nationwide tourney here this week-end.
^^^It's on 826 in Albany also. PQ and AQ for the Zurich Classic in New Orleans are solid.

this change has happened today for me...however the guide is still showing HDnet channels...
glad I just got called and got my bill lowered by $40 yesterday.. what a crock of @#$%
post #598 of 810
Bastards pulled them from us last night. I'll be canceling that group later today.

Anyone able to parlay this into a cable bill deal? I'd like to work them a little if I can.
Just tell them you are ready to cancel your service if they will not work a deal.
Then the csr will send you to "resolutions" department and hopefully hook you up.

Happened two days ago on my TiVo. It's now Smithsonian HD and MGM HD and all guide info is there for the "new" channels.
