Mediacom HDTV - Page 28

Mediacom in Albany, GA scrambled their QAM channels earlier this week (12/10/13).

If this is successful in curbing cable theft as they say it will (IMO it is more of a ploy to get customers to rent a cable box), those customers in the Midwest may very well lose clear QAM sometime in the near future.

This is not good. What happen to that cable company that was going to serve the Albany area? Do you know?

L2Networks' deal with the Albany Water, Gas and Light Commission (WG&L) to provide TV service fell through in mid-2011, presumably over technical issues.

However, I hear WG&L is building its own fiber optic network in the area, in advance of possibly offering TV, Internet and phone service in the future.
