I'm an upgrader and bought an A30, do you have an A3, 30 or 35?

This will be my third HD DVD player and I will post a review when I get it that details the set-up, build, PQ, AQ and comparisons to the previous generation of players. I have owned a A2 (which I loved) and an XA2 (loved, the build on it, but otherwise I did not like it) and will be able to compare in detail. I hope to have it by the end of the week since I mail ordered it from amazon.

Also I wanted to see how many upgraders are out there like me... please chime in with what you gen 3 player you own and what you've had before.

This will be my first HD DVD player I owned...a Blu Ray backer since last year...I just ordered the A-35 from Value Electronics this morning. I have a A-30 in the box here which I am taking back today. I was turned off when I found out that it only had HDMI 1.2 and luckily I did not open it yet!

I still have my A1 and it plays like a charm. Not a single reason whatsoever to waste any money on another player ...

My first HD DVD player as well. I purchased the A3 from VE last Friday. Wanted to go format neutral for the obvious reasons. I just want to see HD movies anytime I can and not have to worry about the different studios.

HD-A1 to HD-A35 user here. Very satisfied with the A35 now. Can't really say PQ is much better but having 1080p/24 makes for a smoother image in film mode.

I think the AQ of the A1 was dialed in a bit better. Need to spend some time with the A35 to get it correct also.

I only went to A35 for speed of loading and HDMI sound.

I'm doing the same. Gonna sell the A1 to help offset the A35. My A1 has been very reliable though, never a lick of trouble. Decided on the A35 because of the HBR support out of the box and for Gen 3 load speeds. Plan to upgrade to an HDMI receiver soon.

Kevivoe..nice pics of your HT!

I sold my A2 on Ebay to partially fund my A-35 purchase. It will get here in 2 days! Yeah!
