common people, lets see your pics, here are a few more from tonight, finally hung it on the wall, also ran wires "power cord and HDMI cables" inside the wall,
Damn cybertec you capture the sharpness and contrast of these panels very accurately. Great pics dude. Planet Earth has never looked so good... I believe that is Planet Earth on Blu-Ray ran through a PS3?
cybertec, great shots. I notice a reflection off the bezel from what is probably a lamp to the right of the display. While picture quality is excellent within the Kuro line I'm hesitating to buy a PDP-5080HD a bit because of its gloss frame. Do the reflections on the bezel distract you from the video content?

no problems with bezel and it beign distracting in viewing the panel.
Man...I was totally sold on just getting the 1150HD. Now you're telling me I need the 110FD? I'm going to have about the same viewing distance as you. I need to check these out in the store again.
After 16 Months, 1 Mitsubishi DLP, 2 Sony LCD XBRs (2 & 4) and a couple of other sets I am finally happy with a TV. In fact I'm thrilled. This is the first set I've seen that comes close to living up to the advertising and the pre-sales hype that doesn't seem to have some kind of systemic defect.
Anyway forgive the awful camera phone shot (The "Wife Unit"(tm) carries the digital camera on her). Its just for context, I will post good photos when I have the digital camera in hand.
Pioneer PDP-5010FD

Gee....what are LCDemons going to say about the sharpness of those plasma photos?
Plasma is not sharp like LCD we keep hearing.
In the words of Austin Powers: O Behave!. Nice name though. Sounds somewhat familiar?.
In fairness to "The LCD Community" they do love the extra brightness. Staring into a bank of CCFL lighting is a good way to prevent SAD(Seasonal Affected Disorder), and all those extra flashlights that come with the sets is an added bonus. Video Display Moths flock to the bright lights.
semi-pro, I used a Nikon D200 with a Nikon 17-55/ 2.8 lens on a tripod in Manual mode, with camera timer turned on "set at 10 sec", no finger clicking the shutter button as to not shake the camera, also have remote shutter release but did not use it, the 10 sec timer was just fine, no one was rushing me
Super pix cyber. Have you ever had problems with moire? I see no evidence of that in your pix.
tccweb did you pop the champagne when you got it delivered
Honestly I had been through so much stress and aggravation over finding a set without some conspicuous flaw (like giving me a blazing headache). The feeling I experienced after it was set up and really saw its quality, was more of relief and contentment. A warm satisfied glow.

Ken, no moire that I can see, picture is just FANTASTIC, have about 50 hours on it till today, the colors and skin tones in PURE mode are spot on, detail and sharpness is fantastic and so is contrast, and the black levels are great, plus the speakers that come with it are also fantastic, even though I have the suround system with 7x200watt power amp, it has hardly been used since I put up this baby, will only be used when playing a movie, for any other viewing these speakers are great.
I keep repeating to myself .....wait til Jan, wait til Jan...70" in Jan...
and then I see a new sets of pics from this thread and my hand goes to the phone, dials the local Pioneer Sop to place order....and then I repeat again....
I need a 12 step program and this thread and these pics are not any of the steps!!!
ANd for a request...How about Heroes or an HD movie....maybe those will "cure" me
