How true of a representation would you say these screencaps are? They look better than the actual movies on my 4280. I don't even see the screen door effect, which I do on all or most plasma's.

I'll have to take some photos of mine and see what they look like.

Hello ,

5090H kuro is above a pio 428XD, better contrast and deep blacks.
Photos of screens make its represents work done with a good AFN all with manual settings, its fact 6 years that I actually, I started with a Philips 32 "16: 9 P + 2 DNM CRT.

What is your setup like for taking pictures?

Hello ,

http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/FZ8/FZ8A.HTM

Work with a tripod about 1 m 50 of the screen.
AFN manual Balance White, F8, Iso 100, exposure time according to the brightness of the image displayed on your screen.
Self timer 2 s and its is already better.

As of right now there aren't any panels that provide the complete solution. It is a matter of trade offs.

The Elites will have the greatest dynamic range but color accuracy isn't perfect while the Pannys won't have the black levels from reports they will have better color accuracy.

just bug me. but if you prefer it good on you!

I'd love to see Alien BD shots too. It's a great transfer.

And Baraka is insanely ridiculous on a 9G Kuro. Reference material for sure.

Worth more to me than their mass in gold !
Where did you find those?
I imported the 60 inch sets from USA and the 50 inch from queensland !
What store did you buy it from and how much? Are they brand new?
The lx509a was new, someone had it stored and nver used it. The other 2 are used and bought from USA via ebay. I use MyUS which gives me a valid US address so I can buy items from US ebay site users which are to be shipped only in the US. I used DHL to ship the kuros each on a pallet amd personally picked them up from te airport. Dhl use australian air express for local delivery but I dd nor want to take any chances.
The lx509a was $3000. Each 60 inch was about $3000 with aditional $1000 for shipping and duty. If you buy from the US the krp 500/600 and pro 101/141 are multizone. The pro 111 and 151 are not.

Bang & Olufsen CRT tv's and the Loewe Vitros CRT tv were more color accurated than even the Kuro plasmas and did not suffer from skin tone solarisation (like all the plasmas) but we re talking about SD resolution of course . Sorry off topic

How much did those sell for?
Well, we must say that the B&O Avant CRT and the Vitros of Loewe were more expensive (luxury articles for some few) than the 9G Kuros and only around 40 inches of SD resolution ; they did not get also the typical Plasma textured image.

But i ve never seen such dynamic range , white skin tones and dye mixture free.

CRT gone frown.gif and Pio-Panasonic plasma tech is the best we have now. Greets

While, I generally agree I think the VT50 is very close. I have both and find them almost equivalent.
