The ZT60 scores a 9.75 (my opinion only)

Tricky isn't it...

141, 101, 500, 600 = 9.9

151, LX5090/H, LX6090/H, 111 = 9.3

5020FD, 6020FD = 8.9

8G 50&60" 1080P = 8.4

8G, 50", 42" 720P = 8.0

Work out the rest wink.gif

Hi Urga... Have you got District 9?...

One of my all time favorite transfers. Stunningly clean & clear. I remember on one occasion with the 500A looking for "dither" whilst watching it. I had to be quite literally a couple of inches from the actual glass to see any. Even then it was (miniscule) amounts.

Superb in every sense. Colour in that movie was beautiful too on ISF night.

Haven't watched Jaws bd yet... How would you rate the transfer out of ten? smile.gif

La photo du bas me semble moins naturel que celle du haut.
Your photo from the bottom seems not as natural colors then the one on top.

Satisfait pareil de ta ST60?
Satisfied still with your ST60 ?

Hello ,
Overall happy with my ST60, my preference is the Kuro ... wink.gif

They both look very nice to be honest.

But looking closely and in my opinion - the Kuro looks more natural skin tone wise - and has better white detail. But also i can see more textures with the Kuro also.

But i certainly wouldn't be so disappointed with that if i didn't own a Kuro (which i do lol) only thing is eek.gif it's 480 miles away at this moment in time smile.gif

Urga, those are nice pictures you have been posting. Two questions, how do you take such good pictures on the tv ? And second, i have a 5080, I was thinking about getting a 60st60, would the st60 have better black levels than the 5080 ?

Thanks

Panasonic's do look nice. But the thing i can't quite get my head around is the extremely visible (to me) panel structure. You don't get that with Pioneers. I can't stop looking at these, what to me look like to me tiny little grid squares. On a 50" panel for critical viewing like BD's Broadcast HDand games i sit five/six ft and sometimes a bit less for video games. I never sit further than 7ft for any HD as at 50" it's a bit pointless. If I wasn't a Pioneer admirer, the panel structure look is what would put me off them to be frank with Panasonic. But i suppose if you sit farther back it wouldn't be such an issue. Don't know if it's any different with the zt? as i haven't seen one properly yet.

Hopefully see one at a Panasonic store or dealer soon enough though.

Uma Thurman... Yummy  wink.gif

She is one tasty chick - or in the case of Pulp Fiction - 'heroin chic' rofl
post #6024 of 7289
yes, that still of "Jaws" has more Sharpnes and detail on the Kuro
The ST60 has less color contrast and skin tones are not Pioneer
Anyway the ST60 is an inexpensive great plasma

Kuro vs ST60 ...

Pio BD320/ST60 :

The color texture goes in favor of Kuro with a shade more realistic skin ... cool.gif

Excellent pics, thanks.

Do you think ST60 could be adjustet/calibrated closer to Kuros colors,
seems like ST60 has just a tad darker/stronger colors, or something smile.gif

For example that camouflage jacket.

Thanks biggrin.gif

No, that is called color accuracy ; the ST60 even calibrated has a little touch of deviated saturation red and green, keep in mind that the Kuro and ZT60 CIE Diagram is near perfect with the 95% of the target points boxed , but you pay four times more

^That's why I'm anxiously awaiting some ZT60 versus Kuro comparison pix. I'm hoping the difference will no longer be observable.

9G Kuros have marginally better "white peak luminance" in a completely dark room , but in normal conditions, difference is no longer observable due to an almost perfect Gamut, gamma and greyscale in both cases...so the ZT60 is an amazing set from Panasonic
