When i got my Pure mode done in 0ct 11, just before i had to physically do something about the red tint on the Kuro about a month later, my ISF calibrator Piers Clerk (who is also an ISF instructor here in the UK) sent me my report for Pure through the post, i didn't have a printer smile.gif. I got ISF night approximately a month later

I too preferred 2.2 for both day/night.

That's part 4.

Both pics look good. Kuro has more accurate colors.

Are there any other differences you notice, urga, that we can't see in the pics?

for a trained eye...Kuro is vastly superior in every way , the ST60 even loses some minimal detail in the yellowish skin zones around the eye

I do not know what the individual numbers are on any of my ISF day/night for colour, contrast, brightness.

I only have my reports for the ftl gamma errors and colour accuracy.

Wow that Kuro is something else. For the money the ST60 looks good, but the kuro makes it seem like you are looking out of a window. Imagine a 4k kuro biggrin.gif

Wow these pics look nice, I'm thinking of getting a 101fd for around 2000, low hours and in good shape what do you guys think? Too much?
Also question of how they look watching regular tv and dvds, I saw a kuro elite 101 before displaying dvd's and regular broadcast hd tv and it didn't look that great as far as sharpness
blu rays look great though, oh and how are they for gaming?

Jump on it !!!! I own one and i love it. And it's great for gaming. But if you get one have it calibrated .
I'm assuming you got yours calibrated, was there a big difference? Did you have someone well known like Dnice do it and how much does that usually cost around?

BUY BUY BUY wink.gif

2000 hrs is nothing for a plasma display. In fact it's only beginning to be brilliant (settled in)

Depends on the source for playing SD. Something that is ace at up-scalling with brilliant processing would be your best bet.

But for gaming, on the correct setting input lag/lag is supremely minimal. And the details and sharpness, clarity and colour is incredible tbh. That's any Kuro playing games though.

Yes i was calibrated and it does make a big difference. And Dnice was the one who calibrated it.

Rob,

That lake photo is absolutely stunning. It makes me wonder what the heck 4K is going to do, when displays already transport you to the scene. It feels like I'm sitting on the bank actually killing time.

Some images of my new KRP500 running slides, one showing black, one with factory menu hour, still less than 70hrs,these were taken yesterday so about 6hrs of slides since. The Kuro's filter holding black in bright rooms still astounds me considering how long ago these were designed.

I have to admit that in a room that is bright that the VT/ZT holds its black better than my KRP, but when it was dark the Pioneer kicks their butt smile.gif

Ansi measurement from a Klein K- 10 82240, yes 82240 not a typo eek.gif

Enough of the photos, thats Urga's job wink.gif.

I'm not too sure about that actually rob. The DCF+3, called elite class filter + in the US i believe - is pretty darned good.

But the filter on my 500m is good enough 99% of the time in any conditions. But of course extreme direct light it's probably a fraction not as good as the ZT's new filter. But of course it's more than nearly (accurately) twice as bright smile.gif

With a 60" 151 sat next to the 65" ZT though in this image in strong direct light - the blacks look identical as does the shadow details - you would never know the ZT's filter is miles better, which of course it isn't. But the Kuro 151, just a far more accurate color, crisper sharper details and much brighter light output and the Kuro pulls away rather comfortably.

Lol but unfortunately there is only a few "fair" images around. Unlike this comparison 'effort' with the faulty red tinted Kuro on the right wink.gif
