the Kuros have great colors but as usual i want more smile.gif

does anyone know if there is a setting in the servicemenu that can increase the color gamut even more for colorspace 1?
i want atleast Adobe RGB colors.
as it is now its not quite there with the greens and reds.

something must control the gamut as you can decrease it from colorspace 1 to colorspace 2.

or should i be the first to test it once again smile.gif?

could we get adobe rgb colors or even a wider colorspace on the Kuros, then they should match the new OLEDs colors.
For colorimetry Kuro behaves better RGB 16-235 or 0-255 ... wink.gif
post #6486 of 7286
Kuro color space 1 (extended), Pio LX55 , RGB 0-255

Rob,

Is that a new gen console then ?...

Also i have the same mains conditioner as that (Belkin PURE AV) as you smile.gif... Got it back in May ready for the new KRP500 two months before.

Cant remember the exact model number of the top of my head. I have tried and returned ones ten times the price (no joke) that doesn't work as well as these discontinued but NIB models. I recommended one to 'Metallicaband' many months ago and i seem to remember D-NICE recommending Belkin PureAV somewhere on thread many moons ago.

Was thinking the exact same thing yesterday Rob. Still delighted with my 360 and PS3. The jump from these to one and ps4 isn't as big as last time around.

I have many stunners yet to play 'last' gen smile.gif

In fact last night on 360 started playing Metro 2033 (great game) with incredible details and textures and lighting effects... Just reinforced my belief that i don't need 'next' gen just quite yet.

Kung fu Panda on BBC THREE HD last night looking rather tasty on the Kuro eek.gif

I would love to have a ONE but i think that they are taking the mickey with £400 ($655 equivalent) and it has no Blu Ray built in and besides what do you get, a few more textures and instead of lets say 50 birds flying about you get 100, big wow, when they get a grip of them and learn to code stuff to take more advantage of the HW then i may jump over, plus £40 for a ONE version or £30 for a 360 version well that's the cherry right there.

Just cluing my self up on ISO EXPOSURE and SHUTTER SPEED want to be able to get bang tidy pics, its giving me increased cartoid pressure right now lol sorry headache ha ha.

I have Kung Fu Panda box set on bluey, hmmm maybe my next pictures when i suss this new damn camera lol.

i dont know what you mean?
what has that to do with color gamut?
behaves?
whats that?

things must be measured to see if they behaves better smile.gif

but ok
i will go through the complete service menu to see if i can found something.
more colors to the people! smile.gif
Rob i thought the ONE was nearer £500... Perhaps different packages i guess suppose.

Example of the high performance of the KRP500's filter still being right up there...

Dark room, (direct camera flash)... Not bad at all.

Our Tesco had them for £409 to be exact but there now £425 bare.

Urga, s'il vous plaît pouvez-vous me conseiller quant à l'iso, l'exposition et l'ouverture que vous utilisez et aussi ce mégapixels de votre appareil photo est réglé afin que je puisse essayer avec vos paramètres.

Probably my camera skills, its new one and i have not got it sussed out yet, its professionally calibrated so its got to be me, i don't seem to like 2.4 maybe i should use the pro calibrated 2.2 instead.
Rob
You should get camera raw for photoshop.
Its easy to see if the blacks and whites clips
You have many adjustmennt options for shadows /blacks /whites
/exposure

Also allways shoot raw
Not jpg.
I only take photos with a phone and to get the contrast the approximate level of the Kuro sometimes i need to turn contrast on the KRP all the way down to zero, for it to look the same on the phone camera smile.gif
post #6500 of 7286
How do i shoot RAW when i don't have that option on my camera, Stuey whats the point of doing that, that wouldn't show what your seeing correctly.
Perhaps i didn't explain it very well. The Kuro's light output needs to be turned down to capture the image on my phone (when i am looking through the phone camera) to look as it does when viewing on the phone camera.

Hope that makes sense as i'm not into posting images that aren't what is in front of me.

I.e not wanting the pictures to appear brighter/ more contrasty - than it would be in front of me on the Kuro as there isn't any point as it's not what i am seeing in reality if you see what i mean.

Put your camera in manual ...
Contrast setting Low ...
Saturation Standard ...
Sharpness Standard ...
Then put Iso 100 or lower if you have 80/50 ...
Put a small opening, I put F8 ...
Then put a 75% gray pattern on the Kuro ...
Shoter the sight and memory "set" ...
You have your manual WB to respect colorimetry your Kuro ...
For a screen shoter be set EV and pause ...
Your turn ... wink.gif

you must buy a new camera! smile.gif
RAW is a must if you want to adjust images and also to get the highest image quality.
they contains much more data than jpg.

why did you buy this crappy camera you use now?
(yes..every camera that cant shoot raw is crap wink.gif)
cheap?

go for a Canon DSLR and a Prime lens and you are ready.
Canon EOS 650D should be good enough.

Ice...

Is that SUPRA power conditioning and cables you use ?
Yes
Here is a good AVS link in my opinion about color bits, gradation etc etc for anyone interested - Pioneer Kuro's in there of course too...

Yes SUPRA is amongst the very best if not THE best shielded power cabling available - practically military/medical grade.

I actually have a SUPRA catalogue sitting in front of me as we speak. And i am about to replace my Merlin Tarantula cabling with SUPRA to go from the Belkin isolator into the display after xmas.

Yes power conditioning etc clears/cleans/brightens/sharpens up the image greatly at times. Depending on the quality of the power coming through the wall of course but it helps anyway it certainly helped here

ok great
the only problem with all their cables is that they are hard to bend.
but once in place they doesnt move.

as for this power surge it wasnt cheap.
1700 sek = 158£ with the 2m supra cable
but its huge and looks heavy duty.

you are right about the sharpness
it also went up
the problem now is that i can see that its to sharp so i have to change it from -5 to lower.
some seems to use -15

Theoretically -7 and up to - 15 is correct if using reference sharpness pattern with enhancer mode 1... -5 to - 15 enhancer mode 2. Basically a couple clicks difference between the two sharpness presets.

These days though i usually stick with -13 blu-ray, -11 games and -7 for broadcast HD or SD
