I'm trying to put a screen in my living room (and projector, of course, but that is a separate problem).
My place has 28 foot ceilings (there is a mezzanine) so lower the screen from that height is possible but expensive and not really nice looking.
The wall along which I want to hang the screen is mostly glass. There is a 8-14 inch range where I probably can mount something along some of the existing structural supports. However, this range is still about 14 feet above the ground. Ideally, I would mount a screen to the support and simply have a mammoth black lead. There is a Draper screen which can do this but I've heard mixed reviews of Draper screens.
I prefer Stewart screens but they are either a)not able to have the black lead or b) significantly too large cases that can not be mounted to look visually nice (I need a case that has height and depth both less than 8 inches).
So, after all the details, it brings me to the question. Who makes lifts, relatively modest in size, that I might use to drop the Stewart screen from the support another 2 feet. This is for an an electric screen -- Luxus model
Which companies should I investigate? Who should I avoid?
