Thank so much for the quickest feedback / thoughts anyone may have, especially anyone who's using Triad Omni Rounds in a similar/same set up as this?

I would not use in ceiling speakers for the rear surrounds in a THX configuration.
The THX configuration, with the rear surrounds mounted right next to each other, *requires* the use of their ASA processing. http://www.thx.com/consumer/thx-technology/thx-surround-sound-modes/
If you use the THX configuration and do NOT use the ASA processing, your rear surrounds will not work as intended. More importantly, the THX configuration is intended for use with wall-mounted speakers firing forward, towards the listening area. The ASA processing does some phase trickery to make two speakers sound like they're separated. That phasing will not work with overhead mounted speakers.
IMO, the THX rear surround configuration is a stupid arrangement, and I don't recommend it. If you want to use in-ceiling speakers for your rear surrounds, separate them and use them in the more traditional arrangement:
Were is your seating positioned in relation to the rear surrounds? You don't want to be seated directly beneath the surrounds. They need to be behind you. However, with in-ceilings, you don't want them too far behind you, or you'll be outside the optimal dispersion pattern. Also, ensure that your side surrounds are at your sides, at 90 to 110 degrees.
