I think Revel is head & shoulders above B&W, just my opinion.

Whatever sounds better to you is what you should purchase.

In this comparison, I would go with the B&W. (I did.) OTOH, the Revel Studio is a more relevant comparison.

When I auditioned speakers about 1 1/2 ago, I auditioned that b&w and
revel F32. The Revel left an impression on me that I have not forgotten up to this date. So for me the Revel is the one I would prefer.

As an F52 owner, I think they are a wonderful HT/music speaker. I have heard the 802D and agree with Mr. Rubinson that a more appropriate comparison would be with the Revel Studio. In that comparison, I prefer the Revel.

Go listen to both. Buy what you like.

B&W 802D are way overpriced.

So do you think the Revel's are overpriced also? I'm looking for the best Home Theater experience and don't listen to music at all.

How much is that system? Are you saying for the money you would buy that or would you say its better then the f52 system?

A Revel F52-based system might convert you to a music listener, yet! Also, consider the JBL Performance Series HT system (built around PT800 speakers).

Then ignore my preferences.

I went with the 802D's as well, but I chose them because I liked them musically much better. I could "almost" care less about the 'theater sound' except for music DVD's. Since you are not listening to music, pick what YOU like the best when watching (listening) to a couple of your favorite movies. I don't think you go wrong either way.

About 10k for the ultra 2 system, you should demo this system and see what it can do.

Where did you audition these speakers? Also, tell us about the sound they have, dynamics, sounstaging abilities, imaging, etc. We are eager to hear your "professional review".

I would be willing to bet my left ball that Blue_Ray1080p has not even heard these speakers. But I guarantee he has looked at the pictures of them on the web.

Just giving you a hard time BR...Dont send me more pics of proof why a $500 receiver is just as good as a $10,000 preamp please.
