Oh mine has 62hrs on it.
My walls are not dark enough. I wish they were. It's a section of a finished basement but I don't think my wife will go for dark walls. It took me a while to convince my wife to let me paint the ceiling near the screen black. I bought a light meter so I can find out which part of the wall/ceiling would affect the contrast but I have not gotten into it yet. I only used the SD version of DVE to adjust the brightness and contrast. Color and tint are fine in my case. I'll break out the Spyder2Pro one of these days to improve the Gamma. It seems dark details are not that great.
I've no complains, wrt to the cost of the PJ. In fact, my complain with electronics in general is that they're too reliable. I've too many CE equipment (not exactly high end) in the house and don't know how to get rid of them. You see, if they don't break, the wife is not gonna let you buy new ones. I manage to give a 50" SD 4:3 TV to her niece so I could get a 55" 16:9 HDTV. The PB6200 pj is in a closet right now and I'll try to ebay it eventually.
Yes, 1080p and better blacks are in the future. They are so tempting but once the movie gets going, kind of forget about it. The Panasonic Blu Ray arrived today with 5 free movies in the box. Will set it up tomorrow and and maybe change my Netflix subscription to 3 at a time.
Enjoy your movies
